Roadside Attraction features Bill Talley and Joe Ferro on vocals and guitar, Brent Perry on bass, and David Gudal on the skins.  This is pure Americana rock music, without the hokiness or pretension that has begun to beset the musical genre known as "No Depression."  Kickin' it old school like the progenitors of the movement (CCR, Jason and the Scorchers), yet not afraid to update the sound (as on the power songs "I'm Tired Now" and "Miracle"), the band introduces numerous textures and a variety of unique sounds to create exactly what the record calls itself, an "American Canvass."

Having had the pleasure of seeing the band perform live several times last summer, I can say that they truly rock live.  There are certainly "rock" moments on the record, but in a live setting, they bring it to another level, and feed off each other nicely.  Plus, any band that has the temerity to cover both Chuck Berry and Badfinger in St. Louis is aces in my book.

Recently, Bill and Joe have begun practicing under the moniker "Killer Angels", a side project which includes Tim Easton and Grey deLisle.  Hopes are to record an EP by Spring 2002.
