As mentioned on the home page, our mission here at Dusted Vinyl is to bring underappreciated music to a wider audience. This can be done in a number of ways: maintaining and fostering contacts and relationships, working our asses off together, getting booked in clubs and at festivals, getting the word out via the website and through email and mailings, etc.
Our expectation is this: we are looking for hard-working bands committed to their craft. Talent? Hey, that's subjective. I love lots of "Talented" bands (e.g. Mike Ireland and Holler, Tim Easton, Freedy Johnston, Bruce Springsteen, the Gourds), and some not so "talented" bands (the Ramones). However, we expect our bands to take their craft seriously. This is a hard-working, generous organization, and we expect the same of the bands that we sign.
