Lane Frost, one of the greatest bull riders of all time. Lane was born October 12, 1963 and died on July 30, 1989 in Cheyenne at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo riding a bull named Taking Care of Business. Lane scored an 85 on his last ride.
In 1983 Lane received a full membership in the PRCA at the age of 19. Lane's lifetime earnings in PRCA at the time of his death was a total of $489,736.
In 1985 Lane marries Kellie Kyle at the
United Methodist Church in Texas.
Lane was the only rider to ride the bull
Red Rock. Red Rock had thrown 309 consecutive bull riders. Lane won "The Chalange of Champions" when he rode Red Rock in 1988. |
