His name was Gaelith Kurst.

Sesian had met him in her travels throughout the realm.  When battles were cropping up over lands as easily as it was between dark elves and Humans.

When Sesian met him, Gaelith was guarding a prominant woman who was funding the campaign to get her lands back from a band of theives who had among them one that could weild magicks.

Gaelith was the woman's protector and did not care for Sesian's interference.  But it was in that they grew to know one another.  It was between them a cautious knowing.  There was no friendship at first, but utter dislike.  Sesian claimed he misused his talents over the smallest, most trifle things and he assumed that she was Drow.

Both could not have been more wrong.
To the surprise of all involved, and those who saw them with each other, they fell in love with one another.  Within a year, they had married.  Alongside one another, they fought, danced, and loved.

But Sesian has never known happiness in full for too long for most of her life.  Again, she would have to settle for pain as the price for it when Gaelith was killed.  She had been delayed in getting to the battlefield and what power she had within her was not enough to save him.  In the gardens of the house Gaelith had served and guarded his body was laid to rest.

What lay ahead for three years to come was a time of darkness for her.  In the way exactly how he died has been so closely kept within her mind and heart that only the woman he guarded has ever known the details of it.

Six years have passed and Sesian has finally left Ta'Ven again to venture into RhyDin with the quiet memories of two with her.
