M-76 is basically an accurized AK-47. It is outfitted with a longer and heavier barrel, and with a new, much more comfortable stock. Anpther difference is the caliber. M-76 is chambered to the 7.92 x 57 Mauser, which is better for long range shooting than the usual ammo used for AK-47 or 74. Its scope, named M76, is a copy of the well-known Russian PSO-1 4x sight with active IR illumination detection ability and a lighted reticule. It also has the common AK-47 iron sights too. The recoil is light, but there can be a heat problem with successive rapid fire shots. Overall, the rifle is a solid "field" sniper system.
