The ERMA SR100 is a very expensive tactical rifle
that is used by only some elite units which can afford them (GSG-9 in Germany
for example). This is a very high quality weapon that is designed to be one
of the most accurate rifles in existance, and it is indeed extremely accurate,
with groups coming in the sub .25 MOA. The rifle has some unique features, like
a 60 degree rotating bolt, a unique mounting system for the action. The stock
is laminated wood, which is more weather resistent then standard wood, though
its not as good as synthetic.
The rifle has a good following, despite of the 9000 USD price. The production
was stopped in 1999.
