Originally developed by Ceska Zbrojovka in the Czech Republic, these rifles gained popularity rather soon. Now, CZ has an agency/factory in the USA too.
There is not so many differences between CZ 700 and the brand new M1 version. Both are in 7.62mm caliber, they uses the same rotating bolt action with six lugs on the rear which locks into the receiver, both use the same detachable magazines. There is differenece in the stock design and barrels. CZ700 has a heavier stock, with a very small trigger guard, and has fluted barrel. M1 has plain barrel and thumbhole laminated wood stock. Stock of both models have adjustable cheek pieces.
