The German Government found a need for a precision weapon following the '72 Olympics. The interim solution was the JR Sniper. The final design was the WA 2000 in .300 Win. Mag. and optional 7.62 NATO. No expenses were spared in the design and construction of the WA2000. The .300 was choosen as the primary caliber because of its long range accuracy and its consistancy at all ranges. The entire rifle is designed around the barrel. The bullpup configuration allows a compact design while still maintaining a 26" barrel. Only 72 total rifles were produced in 2 different variants. Stock is thumb-hole (Wood) and fully adjustable. The barrel is fluted and has a muzzle brake.
