These excellent weapons made by SAKO, a Finnish firm. Originally they wanted to design the most accurate rifle on the Earth, that was the TRG 21 project. Hard to determine whether they succeeded or not, but TRG's became very good rifles anyway. In 1999 TRG21/41 was replaced by the brand new TRG22/42. It has some minor changes , and improvements. The only change we can notice is the new butt stock design.
It has polyurethan butt with aluminum skeleton. Buttplate is fully adjustable, which means adjustable height, distance, pitch, angle. Cheek piece is fully adjustable too. Extra accessories : foldable bipod, muzzle brake, flash hider, silencer for .308, night vision adapter.
