"Who knows but again the old flags, ragged and torn, snapping in the wind, may face each other and flutter, pursuing and being pursued, while the cries of victory fill a summer day? And after the battle, then the slain and wounded will arise, and all will meet together under the two flags, all sound and well, and there will be laughter and cheers, and all will say: Did it not seem real? Was it not as in the old days?"
-Berry Benson, Confederate Veteran

Welcome to ReenactorsOnline The next update is now in progress, so expect all your submitted changes to take affect shortly. On a side note, today Gods and Generals opened in theatres across North America. In my opinion this is a very good Civil War movie; so all you buffs get out there, enjoy yourselves, and support all the reenactors who participated in the filming last year.

The Holiday season is upon us once again, and allow me to wish you all the best of the season and a Happy New Year. I've updated a lot of the links for units; thanks for all the email updates...as well there are a few new articles to check out. Look for some more updates coming soon after Christmas. Again, Happy Holidays!!!

The summer reenactment season is winding down to an end. Some fall civil war events are up, but if you see one not listed, please send them in. Please note the newest section at Reenactors Online, the articles section. Here you can read articles about living history, historic events, etc. It is still under a lot of construction, but getting there. If you've written an article and want it put online, email it to us at [email protected].

The forum has finally returned, so check it out and post a message!!! Two weeks ago I added a new section for living history/historically related articles. There isn't much there yet, so submit one today! In addition, the American Civil War section is now subdivided by infantry, artillery, cavalry, Union and Confederate. As before, a mixed section solely for medical and civilian units is online. Please check for your unit's link in the Unit Section to see that it is correct. If it isn't, please email us with the correction.
