The earliest documentation I have of the truck is a UK Department of Transport slip dated
5 July 1984, where it lists the Colour(s): GREEN. That is further reinforced by a 1987
MOT Inspection, where she is listed as Green/Cream, evidently the top. I guess she went
in for a re-spray around 1993, because that is the year that she switches to RED on her
MOT. I guess the owner before me did a spray-can job on her in 1996, months before I
acquired her.
But...a close examination of the bulkhead and seatbox tells a different tale. I think
that she might have started life in an "arctic blue", then had some sort of kelly green
respray in the early eighties. Then the not-so-thorough red in the early nineties, and
the quasi-NATO green in 1996.
