Fantasy Vacation- Chapter 7 The ringing of the phone woke me from a beautiful dream. The fact that the dream centered around Joey had made it such a good one. I leaned over and picked up the phone. "Hello?", I mumbled. I had been asleep for quite a while I'd assume. "Hey, it's me. Are you okay?". The voice that filled my ears was none other then Joey's. "I'm fine. Where are you?". "I went to the store". "How the hell did you get to the store? We're on a boat". "I know that. It stopped. You've been asleep for hours. I thought I should wake you up". "Where did we stop?". "I believe we are in New Jersey". "Already?". "Uh huh. Boats can go pretty far in four days". "I guess. I miss you. You should have woken me up. It's lonely sitting in your room without you". "I'll be back soon". "Good. How long?". "About twenty minutes". "Okay. I'll see you then". "Bye". "Bye". I hung up the phone and layed down on the bed again. I stretched my arms and legs out before curling into a ball. I reached for the remote on the nightstand. Then I turned on the tv and watched a movie. It was about ten minutes later that I turned off the tv, bored out of my mind. I decided to take a shower. I wandered into the bathroom and turned on the water before hopping in. Hey, I was already naked from earlier events that afternoon. A couple of minutes later I heard the door opening. I guess Joey came in. "I'm back", he called out to me. "I'm in the shower", I called back. Soon I could feel a presence behind me. I turned around and nearly died of shock when I saw Joey standing there. After a moment I ran into his arms, hugging him tightly. "You scared the hell out of me", I scolded. "Oh, and don't you ever leave me alone in your room naked again". Joey chuckled. "I'm sorry". He placed his hands on my cheeks and soon our lips met. It was nine o'clock that night when the phone rang. Joey reached over me (We were sitting on the bed) and answered the phone. "Yello?". I could hear a faint reply but not the actual words said. "She's right here". Joey handed me the phone. "It's Jess". "Jess?", I asked the phone. "Hey, Lana. What have you been up to?". "I'm not going to answer that. What have you and Lauren been up to?". "I'm not going to answer that either". "I doubt you did the same things as me and Joey". "Probably not. We went swimming and guy watching". "Lauren?". "Okay, I did most of the guy watching". "What about Matt?". "What about Matt? He does the same thing when I'm not around". "He guy watches?". "No. He girl watches". "Jess, what is your deal. You act like Erin now that she's not around". "What? I so do not act like that girl. How many celebrities have I boinked since I got on this boat?". "Zero". "Exactly. Don't say that crap to me". "Sorry". "I gotta go. Lauren and I rented a movie. I called to see if you wanted to watch it". "Can Joey come along?". "Sure". "What movie?". "THE CIDER HOUSE RULES". "Okay. Lauren really loves that movie, doesn't she?". "Totally. I'll see ya in twenty minutes". "Alright. Bye". "Bye". I faced Joey. "Jess and Lauren are watching a movie. We are going to watch it with them". "I thought I got to decide where we were going. All day we've been doing what you said". Joey stuck out his bottom lip and gave me a pathetic look. "Oh quit it. You know that my ideas were all fun". Joey smiled. "Lana, you have a dirty mind". "You're the one thinking things. I didn't say a thing". "Whatever. Simply a technicality". I rolled my eyes. Then I stood up while pulling on Joey. He tumbled off the bed. "Sorry", I mumbled sheepishly. I started giggling. Then Joey hit me in the back of the knee. I came crashing down on Joey's lap. "Butthead!", I said as I tried to push myself off of Joey. He wrapped his arms around my midsection. "Joey...". "Hmmm?". "Let go". "Never". "Why?". "Never surrender, never give up!". "Mmkay". Suddenly the only thing I felt around me was Joey's arms. He had lifted me and himself off the ground in one swift motion. "Impressive". "I know. I am really impressive. It's a gift". Joey smiled cockily. "This isn't the first gift of yours you've shown today". Joey blushed. I could feel the heat of his cheeks as my cheeks pressed against his own. My feet touched the ground before Joey turned me around in his arms. He kissed my ear delicately. "Can't we just stay here?". I could feel his breath on my ear, tickling it. I sucked in unconsciously. Joey's effect on me was stronger then I orignially thought. I closed my eyes. Joey's lips moved from my ear. He trailed kisses from my ear, along my jawline, stopping just under my mouth. Then he placed a soft kiss on my nose. I waited, more like anticipated, Joey's next move. After a few moments of nothing I opened my eyes. Joey's brilliant brown eyes were staring into my eyes. I held his gaze. It felt like I was looking into his soul. Suddenly I was overwhelmed. My knees got weak. Then I pried my eyes away from Joey's and sat down on his bed. I was very dizzy. I put my head between my knees. I felt Joey's presence over me before I felt his hand on my back. "Lana?". He paused. "Sweetie, are you okay?". I smiled at his concern and also at the pet name. I don't think I had ever been called a pet name by Joey before then. "I'm okay. Just a little dizzy". "I'll get you some water". "No...Joe...you don't need to do that". I lifted my head. By the time it was up Joey was holding a glass of water in front of me. "Drink it". "I don't want it". "Drink it, it'll make you feel better". "Doesn't mean I want it". "For me?". He gave me a sad look. His bottom lip came out and soon he was pouting. "How can I resist that face? You are evil you know". I took the water and gulped it down. "You must be Satan. How else could you get me to do whatever you wanted? You already have my soul". I realized what I had said last. Immediately my hand flew up to my mouth. I gasped a little bit. Then I tried to cover up my mistake. "I mean you probably want to buy my soul from me". I giggled nervously. I didn't mean the revision of my phrase. I had meant what I said the first time. Joey had all of me. My heart, my mind, my soul...any other body part he wanted to claim. I was still a little confused at what I should say to Joey. We had confessed our love for one another but only once. It just didn't seem right to tell Joey all of my feelings. Joey seemed to disreguard my comment. "Do you still feel dizzy?". "It's not as bad". "You up to seeing that movie?". At the moment I wanted to be away from Joey. I was curious why I was feeling dizzy. It was something in his eyes. Maybe he was hypnotizing me? Naw. It was the emotions from the simple act of losing oneself in anothers eyes. "Yeah. I wouldn't want to disappoint Lauren and Jess". I smiled. I wanted the concerned look on Joey's face to go away. I then stood up and took Joey's hand. I led him to the door and pulled it open. After the two of us were out we closed it and walked to the elevator. The trip in the elevator was silent. Joey didn't speak until we were outside my room. "Are you positive that you're okay? Do you still feel dizzy?". I patted Joey's cheeks. I brought my lips to his in a passionate embrace. "Seriously, Lana", Joey said after the kiss was broken. "I'm fine. Don't be such a worry wort". I grinned, then pulled out my key and let the two of us in. I laughed at what I saw inside the room. Jess and Lauren were both in night gowns and bath robes. Jess had on a green mud mask and was applying it to a squirming Lauren. They both had cotton between their toes waiting for the nail polish to dry. "Hey girls", I said with a giggle. "Whatcha doing?". "What does it look like we're doing?", Jess asked. She was concentrating mainly on Lauren's face. Joey started laughing. "You guys look ridiculous", he said. Lauren and Jess glared at Joey. Suddenly Jess smiled evilly. "Joey, I'm so glad you're with us right now". Jess chuckled. "I think you could use a good facial". Joey looked confused. "You're all done Lauren". Lauren jumped up. I took Joey's hand and sat him down where Lauren was sitting before. "What are y'all up to?", he asked suspiciously. That's when Jess attacked Joey with the green glop. I held him down as he tried to get up. Wuss. It took perhaps five minutes to get the mask fully on Joey. As soon as I let him go he ran into the bathroom. After seeing his face a very un-masculine scream escaped his lips. As for Jess, Lauren, and I we were laughing our asses off. "How do I get it off?", Joey said after a moment. He sighed. "Gotta let it dry", Jess said with a smirk. "Lana, you're next". I sat down on the bed and allowed Jess to spread the mud mask on my face. The time that elasped was marginally shorter then the time it took for Joey. I guess the fact I wasn't squirming helped a lot. "I hafta say that this is the first girls night I've had with a guy", Lauren said. She giggled. "I'm glad everybodies laughing at me", Joey said. He gave me a sad look. I smiled. "Joe, you look very pathetic". "Not to worry, Lana", Jess said with a knowing grin. "By the time I'm finished Joey will look even more pathetic". "What did you have in mind?", Joey asked Jess with a look of pure interest. "Well...hmmm...you could use a manicure and a pedicure". Joey examined his fingers and his toes. "Plus you could definitely use a new outfit". Joey looked at his tee-shirt and shorts. "Girls night baby". "I don't get it", Joey declared. Jess pushed me off the bed and gestured for Joey to sit down. Joey did so. Jess grabbed his left ankle and set it on her lap. She picked up the nail file and got to work on his toes. "This could be a while", Jess stated. "Lauren, I think you should start the movie". Lauren walked over to the VCR and hit the play button. The opening credits came on. Everyone but Jess looked at the screen. Half an hour later the movie was paused. All eyes turned to Jess. She was holding the remote. "Look at Joey's nails". All eyes turned to Joey. His toe nails were neatly clipped and painted a deep purple color. His finger nails and cuticles were trimmed nicely. They were painted sparkly yellow with little bunnies drawn in the middle. Jess was always good at nail art. "Wow, great job Jess", I praised. "Thank you". She smiled. "I look like a sissy", Joey said still examining his nails. "But your nails look great!", Lauren joined in. Joey smiled at Lauren. I suppose he was amazed at the change in her attitude. I was too. She was opening up to Joey in a record speed. This made me smile. Few people got Lauren to open up. This alone reinforced the fact that Joey was a keeper. "What's next?", Joey asked with a sigh. His gaze was directed at Jess. She smiled widely. Then ran to her suitcase. She pulled out a long shirt. It had a sleeping puppy on the front. "Put this on". Joey looked it over. "No". "Damnit Joey. If you don't put that on I'll make Lana hold you down and I'll put it on for you". Joey stood up and walked to the bathroom. He had already taken the shirt from Jess. When he came out we were all sent into fits of giggles. "How do I look?", he asked. "Simply fantastic, darling", I said in a snotty accent. Joey did a little curtsy. He sat down on the bed again. Jess started playing with his hair. By the time she was done he had little pony tails all over his head. Then she fixed his make up. To say the least Joey looked silly. After that Jess began work on me and Lauren. When she was finished we watched the rest of the movie. I cuddled up with Joey. He may have looked silly, but I couldn't have loved him more at that moment. The fact that he had done all of this was amazing. Joey had bonded with my friends with girly activities. I don't think I had realized just how special Joey was until then. I knew he was special, just not that special. When the movie was finished I yawned and stood up. "I think Joey and I are going to go back to his room now", I announced to the room. Joey stood up. "Okay. Night y'all", Jess said. "Night guys", Lauren said with a smile. Joey and I walked out the door. I waved to my friends then shut the door. Joey and I got to the elevator and pressed the button. An elderly couple came on at the next floor. They looked Joey over. Then they gave him a funny look. I tried really hard not to laugh, but my supression was futile. I bent over with laughter. Joey tried to calm me but couldn't. Eventually the elevator dinged and we got off. "Perverts", the old lady called as the door shut. This time both Joey and I burst into laughter. As we laughed we walked to Joey's room. After entering the room I sat down on Joey's bed. By then I had sobered up. I reached for Joey's hand. He took my hand and I pulled him down on my lap. "You are a very attractive man. But you are the ugliest woman I have ever seen", I said laughing again. Joey pretended to be hurt. He tried to get off my lap but I held him tight. "Don't go. I still love you". "Gee, thanks". I kissed Joey's neck softly. "Mmm, that feels nice". I stopped kissing his neck. "Good. Now let's go wash our faces". Joey stood up and walked to the bathroom. I held his hand and followed him in. It didn't take long to pull off our masks. After that we washed our faces. Luckily Jess had put the make up over the masks. It would have taken longer to clean our faces otherwise. When we were done cleaning up we went to sleep.
