Fantasy Vacation- Chapter 6 The next morning I awoke in Joey's bed. I lifted the covers and sighed with relief. Thank goodness. I was afraid this would turn into one of my other experiences waking up in Joey's bed. I was fully clothed. I rolled over and put my head on Joey's chest. I could feel his steady heartbeat. The rythm of it slowly lulled me to sleep. The next time I awoke had to have been about twenty minutes later. I could feel Joey stroking my hair. He was whispering things. Things that I don't think he meant for me to hear. "...I have been seriously thinking about this. I need to say it but I don't think I can face you, Lana. Our relationship has barely begun and I don't want to fuck it up, to tell you the truth. Anyway, I want to get this out before I get too chicken", Joey said. He paused for a moment before again speaking. "I love you". Every muscle in my body tightened. Joey loves me? Joey's muscles beneath me suddenly tightened. He stopped stroking my hair. "Lana, are you awake?", he said shakily. I didn't know what to do. I did the first thing that popped into my head. I pretended to be asleep. After a moment of examining me closely Joey excepted that I was asleep. He started stroking my hair again. "That was close", Joey mumbled. 'You fucking idiot!', my mind berated me. 'You could have just told him you loved him. But no, you pretended to be asleep'. Another voice inside me suddenly spoke up. 'Look it was the right thing to do. You shouldn't push relationships. Let things happen naturally. Joey obviously wasn't ready enough to share the info'. The first voice continued to argue with the second. I pictured two little versions of myself sitting on my shoulders telling me what to do. The thought made me laugh. "Lana?", Joey asked. "Are you okay?". I opened my eyes. Then I yawned. "I'm fine. I just woke up from an apparently funny dream". A little fib never hurt anyone. How was I supposed to tell Joey that I could hear voices in my head. I know he'd be thinking I was a complete psycho. "Hungry?". "Yes. Somebody didn't want to get any dinner last night". I looked accusingly at Joey. "I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better I'm hungry now". I looked at the clock. "It's 11:30 already?". "Guess we slept in". Joey smiled. "You made me stay up late last night". "Hey, it's your fault. If you weren't so damn pretty I wouldn't of had to hold you down and force your lips on mine". "Damn this beautiful face". Joey closed his eyes and made a pitiful face. He was definitely a good actor, he looked like he was in pain. I took advantage of the situation and sat on his stomach. He opened his eyes immediately. "What the hell are you doing?", Joey asked me. "Taking a seat on this gigantic thing you call a belly". Joey laughed. "I'm not fat". "Sure ya are. You're a pretty, fat, man". Joey grabbed my legs and I fell over landing off the bed. I was in shock for a moment. Then I felt pain on my butt. Ow, I think there will be a bruise. Joey looked down. His face mirrored the same shock that I felt. I stood up and jumped on the bed. I started bouncing on the mattress. "Two monkey's in a bed...", I sang. Joey tumbled off the bed from the force of my jumps. "...On jumps off. One monkey on a bed. One jumps off". I hopped off the bed and sat on Joey's stomach. This time straddling it. "What was that for?", Joey asked. "You made me hurt my butt. I got even. Payback's a bitch, Joe". "Do you want me to kiss your booboo?", Joey said slyly. I giggled. "Always knew you were an ass kisser". Joey laughed. I could feel it under me in his belly. I leaned down until my head was near his and I straightened out my legs. My body layed against the full length of his. "Pop quiz hot shot. The girl of your dreams is laying on top of you in a empty room. What do you do? What do you do?". "Shoot her in the leg?". "Wrong answer. This is not the movie SPEED. You gotta kiss me". "Girl of my dreams?". Joey chuckled. I lightly hit his arm. "You know you can't live without me. Anyway, you hafta kiss me, lover boy". "What if I refuse?". "I blow up a bus with innocent people inside". "Damn! Guess I have no choice". Joey's lips met mine. I put my hands on his cheeks as he stuck his arms around my waist. I sighed against his lips before deepening the pressure of it. After a moment we seperated. I kept my eyes closed hoping to savor the sensation from the previous kiss. Joey laughed good naturedly. "You can get off me now". I opened my eyes and blushed before pulling myself off the ground. "Let's get something to eat". "I'm gonna change first". "But Joey...I don't got nothing to change into. I'd feel dirty if you changed", I whinned. I looked at him pitifully. "Fine". Joey stood up and walked towards the door. "Let's get going". He held the door open for me and I exited the room with Joey behind me. "You won the bet", I said twenty minutes later. "Huh?". I pointed to the clock, which read 12:05. Joey smiled wickedly. "I'm going to enjoy this bet". Joey chuckled. I didn't smile. The truth is I was sad. This meant that Joey wouldn't go to Hawaii with me. "Why so glum?", Joey asked in a caring tone. "Does this mean you won't be going to Hawaii with us?". "I wouldn't miss it for the world". I smiled brightly. "Thank you. All that nice Hawaii stuff would be no fun with out you". Joey smiled genuinely. "I'd hate being away from you". I reached over and grabbed Joey's hand. "I feel the same way. I wouldn't have asked you to if I didn't. I think I'd feel lonely without you". I quickly kissed Joey's hand before resting it on the table and taking my hand away. Joey frowned at the lose of my touch. "Are you going to go back to your room after this?". "Why do you ask?". "Because of the bet. If you wanna go there I need to be there to". I smiled. "Actually I'm supposed to follow you". "Just a technicality". "I don't need to change in front of you do I?". "Wow, Lana you're suddenly a shy one". I blushed. "It's just...you know...arg...never mind. I don't care. Hey, I getta see you change too. What about showering?". "It's not like we haven't seen each other naked before", Joey said simply. Didn't he understand the difference. That was then this is now. Joey noticed the disbelieving look I gave him. "Lana, I think we can keep our hormones in check for ten minutes". I laughed and blushed again. "Are we going to shower together?". Joey looked at me with his mouth open slightly. He looked like he wanted to say something but the words wouldn't come. "Uh...that's a whole different ball park, don'tcha think?". "No. I think it's a good idea. That way I won't focus on the fact that your eyes are on me. This way you hafta clean yourself". I don't know why I was defending this. The truth is I was a little unprepared for the conversation. Even though I brought it up. I was just covering my bases. "Okay". I don't think Joey wanted to do this too much. Maybe he was afraid he couldn't control himself. I giggled. "What?", Joey asked confused by my giggling. "Nothing. I was just thinking something funny". "Oh". Silence fell upon us for a moment. "This should be a fun next couple of days". I burst out laughing. After a moment Joey began laughing to. When our laughter subsided I stood up. "Maybe we should leave". I had noticed all of the staring people. They obviously thought we were being rude. "Okay. Let's go pay the check", Joey said standing up. We walked over to the cash register and payed. Then we walked to the elevator. I pressed the down button. "Have you realized we're on a boat?". Joey laughed. "Kind of hard not to notice". I nudged him in the stomach playfully. "I mean it doesn't seem like a boat". The elevator doors opened and we went inside. I pushed the button for the second lower deck. "Kind of like a hotel". The doors closed. "I guess. I just always though of it as a boat". Joey looked around the elevator. "There's a camera". He pointed his chin in the direction of the camera. "Wanna give security a show?". Before I could answer Joey had me pressed against the wall with his lips on mine. After a second or so passed I returned the kiss. It was a very sloppy kiss, meant only for show. The elevator dinged and people stepped on. I tried to pull away from Joey but he just kept on kissing. I blushed. Then closed my eyes again and enjoyed the pleasure of the moment. When the elevator dinged a second time, Joey pulled away. "We're almost to our room, honey", Joey said seductively. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the elevator. The doors closed. "Did you see their faces?", Joey asked gleefully. I just stood there with a crimson face. "I am so embarassed. I cannot believe you said that. Did you see that old ladies face?". Joey smiled brightly. "I didn't mean to embarass you, but you gotta admit it was funny". "It was definitely funny". I grinned. Then started walking to my room. I took the key from my pocket and slide it in the door when we reached it. Then I pulled open the door and walked inside with Joey following me. He closed the door softly. After walking further in the room I noticed the occupants still sleeping. I looked at Jess as she snored softly. I smiled. Then I turned my eyes to the next bed. The person inside was not Erin. Her frame was slightly different and the red hair confirmed the fact. I walked to the bed and removed the covers. I pulled the girl into a hug. "Momma?", she asked. I laughed out loud. She opened her green eyes and looked at me. "Lana? Oh my god! Hi! How are you? Where have you been?". "Hi". Her arms tightened around me before letting go to look in my eyes. "I'm great. I was with Joey". She looked around the room. When she saw Joey she got self concious and pulled the blankets around herself. "Joey this is Lauren, Lauren this is my boyfriend Joey". I smiled when I called Joey my boyfriend. He did too. "H..h...hi, Joey", Lauren stuttered. She looked down. That girl was too shy for her own good. "Hey", he replied. I think he may have been confused. The mood in the room changed dramatically. "So, what have you been up to?", I asked Lauren. "Stuff". She continued to look down. She wasn't going to be any fun unless she opened up. "How's Peter?", I inquired about her brother. "Pete's good. Although he keeps asking about you". She looked up with a sneaky smile. "Won't he ever give up?". Lauren shrugged. "What can I say? Pete's one lovesick puppy". She smiled. The new change in her mood was apparent. She had probably already forgotten about Joey at the mention of her brothers name. "No offense, but your bro is a loser". Lauren giggled. "I'll be sure to relay the message". I nudged her playfully in the side. "Bitch", I said playfully. Lauren snorted. "Takes one to know one", Lauren shot back. I laughed. "Takes one to be related to one". "What is that supposed to mean?". "Have we forgotten about Gabby already?". "Gabby's not a bitch. She's just Gabby". "Gabby's just the definition of a bitch, is all". Lauren rolled her eyes. "Look whose talking". "Okay, enough bitch talk. Let's talk about tattoos". "Tattoos?". "Uh huh. I've decided that a few things must take place on this vacation. To you anyway. You hafta either loose your virginity or get a tattoo". "I'm not loosing that until I'm married". "I know you're such a prude". She giggled. "I'm not getting a tattoo either". "Then you hafta leave the boat". She stood up. Then she saw Joey and sat down nervously. "You don't need to be afraid of Joey. He doesn't bite. I trained him well". She giggled. Then looked Joey over. I assume she decided to try to be friendly with him. "Lana, you can't make me get a tattoo". "Lauren, you need to live a little". "But my parents will freak". I sighed. Lauren never had to deal with a disfunctional home. She was lucky. "You're twenty-three years old. You shouldn't worry about what your parents think", I stated. "You're right, like usual. Just one thing though, hun". "What's that?". "You are getting one too". "Oh no!", I protested. "Oh yes. And you get to go first". "No. No, is my answer". "Then no is mine". Lauren was a stubborn girl. I knew I wouldn't win this argument. "Fine. But you're going first. I won't back out. Joey has to come along so he'll use force if need be". "Joey's coming along?", she asked shyly. "Yeah. We made this bet. He's gonna be around a bit, so get used to it". Lauren sighed. I know she was trying hard. Lauren was a very shy person. She had trouble especially talking to guys. Lauren looked up at Joey. "What's up?", she asked. "Not to much", he answered. I smiled at Lauren. That simple gesture must have been a hard one. But Lauren was a good friend. She would probably do anything for me or any of her other friends. Everyones attention turned towards Jess' bed as she wiggled around. Her eyes opened. "As soon as I go to sleep a party gets started", she said dryly. Lauren and I giggled. "Morning Jess", I said to my friend. "Sleep well?". "I was dreaming about Matt". "Good dream?". "You know it". She smiled slyly. Jess had once told me a dream about Matt. Let's just say it was colorful. "Whose Matt?", Joey asked. I could tell he felt awkward. I could understand. We had a tightly knit circle of friends and he was an outsider. "My boyfriend", Jess asnwered. "I think I've mentioned his name before", I said lazily. "Not sure though". I moved closer to Lauren. "Wanna sit down?", I asked Joey. I patted the empty spot of bed. Joey wordlessly sat down next to me. "Do you remember Craig Bowfield?", Jess asked Lauren. "The guy with the hair?", she asked. "Oh yeah". "Yes, I remember. How could I forget? Erin got drunk off her ass and attacked his head with comb". The three of us girls laughed. I placed my head on Joey's shoulder. The three of us reminiced for a while as Joey sat there patiently with my head on his shoulder. By the time we were finished it was 2:00. I looked at the clock then looked up at Joey. I had placed my head on his lap earlier. "I'm sorry about this, Joe. I mean you must be bored out of you tree listening to us talk". I raised a sympathetic hand to his cheek. "Oh", Lauren said in a sudden manner. I looked over to her. "You're that guy from 'N SYNC, aren't you?", she asked Joey. Jess, Joey, and I giggled. "That's me", Joey said with a grin. Lauren smacked her forhead. "I knew you looked formiliar". She giggled at herself. "I'm hungry". "Me too", Jess said. "Joey and I already ate", I said with a shrug. "Well then. Me and Lauren are going to go get some lunch. I think you guys can find something to do", Jess said with a goofy grin. She got off her bed and went into the bathroom with a change of clothes. Lauren dug around in her bag for some clothes while Jess was in the potty. Jess came out fifteen minutes later and Lauren went into the bathroom. Ten minutes later the girls left the room. Joey and I were alone. "I think we should shower now". I sounded a bit eager. I didn't want to, but I did. I was looking forward to this. At first I was scared. Then I figured I have nothing to hide. Then I thought about seeing Joey naked and felt much better about the situation. I hadn't actually seen Joey naked when I wasn't drunk. I had touched a certain part but hadn't actually seen it. "Okay. You're place or mine?". Joey chuckled. "I'll get some clothes here and we can go back to your room. This way if some room mates stop by we won't surprise them", I said reasonably. Even though that reason was true I kept in mind that Joey's shower was larger then ours. I rumaged throught my bag before Joey and I left my room to go to his. When we arrived at Joey's room I threw my clothes on his bed and sat down. Joey looked through his bag and took out some clothes. He set them on his bed next to mine. He looked at me expectantly. Here we go. I got up and walked to the bathroom. I could hear Joey do the same. I turned the shower water on. Then I took a deep breath and began taking off my clothes. Joey had turned around and was doing the same thing. I silently watched him in the mirror as I undressed. No matter what I had to keep my hormones in check. Which I could tell was going to be hard. Joey certainly had a nice body. I turned around. Joey was naked. We looked each other over awkwardly. Then Joey stepped into the shower. I followed suit. Joey was standing under the faucet. I watched the water drip down the length of him. The little droplets made his skin glisten. I was losing it, I could feel it. How could I stay calm when I was staring at such a beautiful creature. "Let me wash your hair", I said in a voice a little above a whisper. "Okay". Joey handed me the bottle of shampoo. I squirted some into my hand before placing my hand into his wet hair. I lathered the strands delecately while massaging his head. He let out and almost inaudible moan. I smiled. Then I pulled his head under the flow of water to rise out the soap. When I was done Joey raised his head and opened his eyes. "Can you hand me the bar of soap?", he asked shyly. I could tell he was nervous. I was too. The situation, although yummy, was terribly awkward. I grabbed the soap and handed it to him. He lathered the soap into his washcloth before setting it down. He momentarily turned away from me. I picked up the soap and lathered it into my hands. I placed them on Joey's back. He took in a sharp breath at my touch. "I'm gonna wash your back", I stated simply. I rubbed my hands up and down his long back, stopping before his bottom. I wasn't bold enough to lower my hands that far. The situation started to become sexual when Joey turned around. I could see lust in his eyes. I knew my eyes reflected the same emotion. Joey pulled me close to him and kissed me passionately. It was in a hungry fashion. Suddenly he pulled away. He stepped out of the shower and covered himself with a towel. He went into his bedroom and sat on his bed. I turned off the water, got out of the shower, and covered myself with a towel. Then I left the room. I walked in front of Joey. "What's wrong?", I asked fully knowing what he would say. "I thought we were going to...". I cut him off. "Wait. You wanted to wait until we were in love", my voice held an anger I didn't know was boiling over. "This morning I heard you say you loved me while you thought I slept. The feelings are reciprocated. I don't understand this at all. You must have understood that something like this would happen. I know you're not that dense. Why can't you see what's in front of you? Why won't you give yourself to me in a full sense? Are you afraid? Are you a liar?", I spat the questions out angrily. I wasn't even aware of the things I said. I stormed to the door and opened it. I was about to walk out, only wearing my towel, when Joey spoke. "Say the words". "What?". I turned and faced him. "Tell me those three special words, Lana", Joey said pleadingly. "I love you". I sighed. "I thought you realized that. I think I've loved you from the second we met. Even if I couldn't admit it to myself". I turned again. Suddenly Joey was behind me. He grabbed me by the waist and lead me back into the room closing the door softly. I turned in his arms and looked into his eyes. People always say that eyes are the windows to your soul. I could see Joey's wonderful soul at that moment. I felt like I had become a part of Joey. Then I was. He lips met mine in a kiss filled with love and desire. I was lost in the feeling of Joey as his arms wrapped around me and I was overcome by human emotions. Every single one.
