The next morning, Annabelle woke up with Drew wrapped around her. "Baby, we gotta get up", she whispered. ‘Well, if he’s not planning on getting up, I’m gonna have some fun’, Annabelle thought. She rolled out of Drew’s grasp and looked him over. ‘My oh my! What a man!’. Annabelle took in the sight of the beautiful man that lay naked before her. She rubbed her finger down his chest. Then she trailed kisses along his stomach and chest. Drew sighed. Annabelle brought her kisses up to his neck, his ear, his nose, and finally his mouth. It only took a moment for Drew to respond to the kiss. Then he wrapped Annabelle with his arms once again. "You should wake me up that way more often", Drew said after they pulled away. "We gotta go to school, babes". "Okay. I call first dibs on the shower". "You can’t". "Why not?". "J’s in there". "Why can’t that guy get a girlfriend the way he gets a job? That way he could constantly be at her house, using her shower". "Drew", Annabelle began, rolling her eyes. "A girlfriend for J, right now, isn’t practical. When would they spend time together? At dinner? Where’s the fun in that?". "Don’t contradict me". "Why not?". "Cuz you’re my girlfriend". "You contradict me". "When?". "Just last week. We were watching that Van Dam movie. I thought something was going to happen, but you chewed me out for the next ten minutes". "I’m sorry sweetie". Drew stuck his bottom lip out, in a pout. Annabelle kissed it. They started kissing. Drew got on top of Annabelle. She pulled away suddenly. "Baby, if we keep this up, we won’t be able to take a shower before class". "Fuck the shower". "Well, okay then". After class that day, the guys had a band meeting. Annabelle was banned from the meetings because she seemed to be a distraction. So, Annabelle sat in her room thinking before work. ‘I have that doctors appointment tomorrow. Should I let Drew know? Not yet. I’ll get the blood test back tomorrow. If I’m pregnant, I’ll tell him. I shouldn’t worry him needlessly’. Annabelle looked at the clock. Then she went in the living room. She walked up to Drew and hugged him from behind. She put her head on his shoulder and kissed his ear. "I’m going to work now". Drew turned his head and kissed Annabelle. She stroked his cheek lovingly, before walking away from him. "Bye, guys", she called. As she exited the house, a chorus of ‘bye’s’ followed her. The next afternoon Annabelle told Drew she had to go to work early. Instead she went to her appointment. "Good afternoon, Annabelle", the doctor greeted. "How are you?". "I’m good, and you?". "Oh, I’m fine. We got the blood test results from the lab this morning". "And?". "Let me ask you this. Do you want to be pregnant?". "I’d like to be pregnant. But, I don’t think I’m really ready yet, at this point in my life". "I’m sorry to disappoint you". "Disappoint me?". "The test came out positive. You’re pregnant, Annabelle". ‘Oh god. I can’t be pregnant. What’ll Drew say?’ "Dr. Schwartz?". "Yes, hon". "How far long am I?". "Two months". "What’s my due date?". "My guess is early May. May 4th, to be exact. Although, there really is no exact". When Annabelle got home, the guys were in the living room with Paris, talking and eating pizza. Annabelle didn’t bother to say hello to anybody. She just walked into her room and locked the door. "Hey, Anna", Drew said. She didn’t hear him. "Guys, excuse me for a minute". Drew got up and walked to Annabelle’s room. He tried to open the door, but it was locked. He knocked on the door. "Anna, honey. Are you okay?". "I’ll talk to you later, Drew. Please, just leave me alone, now". "Okay, Anna. I’ll see you later. I love you". Drew walked back to the guys. The next morning, Annabelle woke up early. She walked into Drew and Nick’s room. She went over to the lower bunk and hugged Drew. He woke up. "Anna?". "Shh. Nick’s sleeping". She grabbed Drew’s hand and led him to her room. When they got there, Annabelle hugged Drew tightly around his middle. "Anna, what’s wrong?". "I love you so much, Drew". "I love you, too. What’s wrong?". "Just hold me for a moment. Please. I’ll explain later". Drew obliged. Five minutes later, he pulled away. "Anna, you’re really worrying me". "I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to worry you. Drew, there’s something important I need to tell you". Drew took her hand. "Tell me". "I’m gonna have a baby". Drew looked shocked. He walked over to Annabelle’s bed and sat down. "Is it mine?". "Is it yours? Is it yours?!!", Annabelle yelled angrily. "Of course, it’s yours". "Anna, please don’t shout". "You don’t want me to shout?! How the fuck should I react to this? You just accused me of sleeping around". "It’s not that I don’t trust you, Anna. It’s just with Justin...". "The doctor checked. She knows the exact date I was impregnated". "And?". "It was August 4th". Drew knew then that this was his baby. He really could never forget that date. "Anna, do you wanna be with me?". "Of course". "Forever?". Annabelle thought about the question. "Yes". Drew smiled. "I wanna raise this baby together. I want it to have both a mommy and a daddy". "Do you wanna get married?". "Is that a proposal?". "Do you want it to be?". "I suppose so". "Okay then. Andrew John Lachey, will you marry me?". Drew looked at her with a smile. "I always thought I would pop the question". "I never knew I would. So...uh...will you?". "Yes". They smiled shyly at each other. After a moment, Drew pulled Annabelle into his arms. "Can you imagine this? You and me, married with a kid?". Annabelle smiled knowingly. "Yes, I can". Over the next few months, Annabelle’s belly grew and the guys popularity grew. They performed in several different clubs. January. Annabelle, now five months pregnant, laid on the couch rubbing her belly. If it was this big now, what would it look like in nine months? The thought was horrific to Annabelle. Would she be able to walk? The phone rang and Annabelle stretched to pick it up. "Hello?...Oh, Paris...who called back?...I can’t hear you?...Are you on your cell?...That explains it...Motown?...that’s fantastic! I’ll tell them as soon as they get home...see ya". Annabelle hung up the phone. To think, these four guys just got picked up by Motown records. When all the guys got home, Annabelle replayed her conversation with Paris. "We need to go out and celebrate", Jeff said after a while. "Are you gonna come with us, Anna?", Drew asked. "Hell yes! Get my wheelchair". Annabelle was having complications with her pregnancy. It seemed the baby was abnormally large, but it wasn’t fully developed. She could barely walk. It was only going to get worse as the baby grew. Annabelle had quit school. The embarrassment with the baby at school was too much for her. They went to a large pizza place. "Drew, babe, I wanna dance", Annabelle whined for the fifth time. "I just don’t think it’s a good idea". "Drew, let me enjoy this. I still have four more months until they cut this sucker out. My life will be hell until then". Annabelle was talking about her planned c-section. Drew laughed. "Alright. But only one dance". He helped Annabelle up. They walked onto the dance floor, as the opening of "I’ll Make Love To You", by Boyz II Men, drifted from the speakers. "This is becoming a theme song in my life", Drew thought out loud. Annabelle giggled. The pair looked silly as they danced. Imagine a short, enormously pregnant woman trying to dance. Drew could barely get his arms around her. He gently kissed her forehead. She smiled up at him. "It’s gonna be a helluva long time until we can have sex again. You better be ready, girl, cuz I’m gonna be on you for hours". Annabelle laughed loudly. People stared at her. Luckily, they didn’t hear Annabelle’s shocking revelation. "You think you're gonna be bad. Uh uh! I’m gonna need some serious self assurance. I’m gonna have stretch marks up the wazoo! The only good thing is my tits will be full. When I’m done with you, you’ll be sore for years". Drew smiled. "I can’t wait". "Me neither. Is there a doctor in the house?!", Annabelle shouted. "C-Section table 3!". Drew laughed before dragging Annabelle back to the table. His face blushed a deep crimson. "I can’t believe you just did that". "What? Pregnant women get horny, too, Drew". The guys covered their mouths to conceal their laughter. "Hey, Dee. Come with me to the bathroom. Pregnant women need to pee a lot. Besides, I wanna leave Drew to be picked on by the rest of the guys". "Okay". The girls left for the rest room. "Annie’s certainly gotten bolder since you knocked her up, Drew", Nick said with a smirk. "I know, she’s scaring me". Drew laughed. "I like her better this way. The girl’s got a lot more spunk", J put in his 2 cents. "I’ve only known her since she was pregnant". Paris shrugged. The food came. "What’s taking them so long?", Drew asked worriedly. "Who knows. They’re women", Jeff replied. He looked around and spotted a familiar face in the crowd. "I’ll be right back, guys". The guys watched as Jeff went to the dance floor. The girls came back. "Where’s Jeff?", Dee asked while she sat down. "I dunno. He said he’d be right back", J said. Jeff came back five minutes later, pulling a girl by the arm. Dee grew suspicious, but didn’t say anything. "Guys, this is my cousin, Amber. Amber, this is Paris, Nick, Drew, Annabelle, Dee, and J", Jeff introduced. "Amber?", Annabelle said shocked. "Annabelle? It can’t be you. Girl, you’re expecting?". "Uh huh". Annabelle got up and hugged Amber. "How is everything?". "Great. How about with you?". "Excellent. How are the guys?", Annabelle asked softly. "They’re good. Josh and I are getting married". "Really? That’s wonderful!", Annabelle said excitedly. "Hey Annabelle, how do you know Amber?", Jeff asked. The guys were confused by the conversation. "Hey, and since when are you engaged?". "Guys, Amber’s getting married to JC Chasez? Ring a bell?", Annabelle asked. "JC? Justin’s friend?", Nick questioned. "Yes", Annabelle said quietly. She was afraid that Drew would be angered by this conversation. The topic of Justin was a touchy subject. "Why don’t you sit down, Amber?", Drew said with a smile. ‘Something’s fishy’, Annabelle thought. ‘Drew’s being too sugary sweet. I bet he’s hiding his feelings. I’m worried’. Later that night, after everyone else had gone to bed, Drew and Annabelle sat on her bed talking. "Baby, I hurt all over", Annabelle said sadly. "Wait here, I have an idea". Drew left the room. Ten minutes later he returned. He gave his hands to Annabelle. "Come on". Drew led Annabelle to the bathroom. The tub was full of water and bubbles. There were also a couple of candles spread around the room. "Ooh, bubbles", Annabelle said giddily. She turned to Drew. He kissed her softly. Then he undressed her and helped her into the tub. She looked longingly up at him. "Come in with me?". Drew undressed himself and sat behind Annabelle. He put his legs on the outsides of hers while she leaned back against him. The tub was rather big. He kissed her neck softly while massaging her shoulders and upper back. Annabelle moaned delightedly. She took Drew’s hands and positioned them on her breasts. He massaged them slowly and softly. He then moved his hands to her belly. He made circular motions with his thumbs. Drew kissed Annabelle’s shoulders, back, neck and arms with great hunger. He wanted to take her so badly. Annabelle could feel his pain in her back. She turned around quickly, making some of the water slosh over the side. She kissed Drew full on the mouth with the same hunger he had shown her. They continued to get more heated. Drew pulled away, much to both of their agony. "Anna, we mustn’t do anything that could hurt the baby". "I know. I just have that weakness towards you. Ya know, the one where I can’t keep my hands off you and continuously want to fuck. I’m sorry. I love you, Drewy". "I love you, too, Anna. I’m sorry, also. Sometimes my penis does more talking then my brain". Annabelle giggled. "Let me wash you". "Okay". Annabelle sat down. Drew picked up the sponge, soaped it up, and began rubbing it softly against her skin. After the bath, they went into Annabelle’s room and changed into jammies. They both laid down on the bed. Annabelle looked at Drew. She had a serious expression on her face. "Drew, if I wasn’t pregnant...would you still say yes?". "Yes to what?". "My marriage proposal". "Yes, I would have". Annabelle smiled. Then groaned. "What’s wrong?", Drew asked sitting up. Worry was written in his expression. "The baby’s kicking". Drew placed his hand on Annabelle’s belly. "I think we have a soccer player on our hands". Drew smiled. "Good. We need to teach this kid some kind of sport. As long as it stays away from it’s uncle Nick, the baby won’t play football". "Drewy, I’ve been wondering something". "What have you been wondering about?". "I know we decided it was best if it was a surprise...but couldn’t we find out the baby’s gender?". "This is really important to you, isn’t it?". "Yes". "Okay then. Next time you go in for an ultrasound, we’ll ask the doctor". Annabelle quickly kissed Drew. "Thank you, baby. This means the world to me". "I know. Besides, I’m awfully curious myself". "Just think, in four months there will be a little version of the two of us just sitting around". "That’s a scary thought". Annabelle elbowed Drew in the side lightly. "Is not. It’s exciting". Drew kissed her hand. "I know. It’s just happening so fast". "Drew?". "Hmm?". "Do you think we’ll have any regrets?". "What do you mean?". "Later on. Do you think we’ll regret getting married or having this baby?". Drew sat up. "Never. I don’t want you thinking that way, Anna. I love you and you love me and that’s all that matters. The only thing you need to worry about is that baby. Our baby". Annabelle smiled brightly. "Our baby. I like the sound of that". "It’s got a nice ring to it". "Indeed it does". Annabelle, now seven months pregnant, sat on the living room couch reading a book. She had been doing a lot of reading lately. It had gotten to the point where her doctor decided she shouldn’t walk anymore. Unless it was to the bathroom. Basically, when the guys went out they would leave her in the living room with everything she could possibly need, except company. That’s why Nick came up with the idea of buying Annabelle a pet. He had good intentions when he bought that cat and it did keep Annabelle company. But there was a reason the cat’s name was Oscar The Grouch. A friendly cat, Oscar was not. Annabelle’s four roommates plus two others came into the apartment. "Hey all", Annabelle greeted the people in the room next door. Drew stepped over the cat gate, that kept Oscar in the living room. Oscar needed to be in the same room as Annabelle to keep her company, hence the kitty gate was bought and set up. Drew gave Annabelle a quick kiss and sat on the floor next to the couch she laid on. "Hey Anna. How was your day?", Drew asked sweetly. "If you were immobile, extremely fat, and bored with a cat as your only company, would you have a good day, Drew?". He chuckled. "Guess not". The rest of the people in the apartment came into the living room and greeted Annabelle. "We had an amazing day in the studio", Jeff said with a smile. "Yeah. You wouldn’t believe the progress we made on the new track", J added. "That’s great, guys!", Annabelle praised. "I wish I could have been there". That part was said in a I-feel-sorry-for-myself tone. "Trust me when I say you didn’t miss any excitement. The only funny thing that happened was when Nick started to tell a story about Drew. It caused a battle and the story never got finished. But we had a lot of fun", Vicky assured. Vicky was J’s new "friend". Neither one of them considered what they had a relationship. It didn’t matter, though. After you got over Vicky’s "butch", construction worker exterior, you could figure out they were a couple. "Nick never did finish that story", Dee said, turning to look at Nick. "What was it about? I know everything about Drew. I’m sure I can finish it". Her tone was serious but Annabelle’s smile gave off a mischievous glow. "Well, it was something about Drew’s behavior when their parents went away for a while. I think they...". Jeff’s hand clamped over Dee’s mouth. "Since when is it make fun of Drew day?", he asked. "Yeah", Drew agreed. "I don’t remember getting a memo. I could’ve come up with something to, ya know". "Wow, Jeff. You’re really funny". Drew rolled his eyes. Suddenly Annabelle started laughing. "I know that story!", she shrieked. "No, you don’t", Drew stated. "Yes, I do. That’s all about your parents...". Drew clamped his hand on Annabelle’s mouth. "Us women in this room get no respect", Vicky observed. "I haven’t tried to physically shut you up", J said to Vicky. "Alright, fine. I’m the only one who’s respected". "I respect Anna. I just don’t think you all need to hear this story". Drew moved his hand from Annabelle’s mouth. He put his lips to hers briefly. Then he pulled on his ears and wiggled his eyebrows. Annabelle did the same. It was their privacy agreement, minus the kiss. "What was that?", Dee asked. "Nothing you should be concerned about", Drew told Dee. "Yeah. It’s a best friend thing", Annabelle agreed. "So, Nick. You’ve been real quite since you got home. What’s up?". Nick looked at Annabelle. Confusion was written all over his face. He hadn’t been listening to the conversation. When he heard his name he snapped out of the momentary trance. "What?", Nick asked. "Okay, what’s the matter?". "Nothings the matter". "You’re a terrible liar, Nick. I’ve known you most of my life and I can tell when something is wrong". "Annie, nothing is wrong". "Don’t make me lock you into a room like I did the last time you acted this way". "I swear to God nothing is bothering me. I’m just a little bit tired and my day at the studio was hectic". "The others just got done telling me that their days were pretty uneventful". "I said my day was pretty hectic, not theirs". "Don’t you get an attitude with me, buddy". "Annabelle, you’re not a mother, yet, and you certainly will never be my mother". Nick stormed out of the room. Annabelle was shocked. She couldn’t remember a time when Nick hadn’t called her Annie. Nor could she remember a time he had raised his voice to her. Whatever was troubling him must have been bad for Nick to take it out on Annabelle. Especially since she was seven months pregnant. After a moment of silence, Vicky spoke up. "So, Annabelle. Have you come up with a name for the baby?". Annabelle momentarily forgot about her frustrations caused by Nick’s behavior and began talking with "the girls". TO BE CONTINUED...
