Chapter 11:

After Kelly realized what she had done, she quickly pulled away from Lance. "I can't do this." She said as she placed her hand up to her mouth. She just looked at him and shook her head.

Lance could see the hurt in her eyes. "I'm sorry."

Kelly just shook her head. "No, it was my fault. I should have never let myself get that close again."

"I'm really sorry-- about all of this. You not being able to trust me is all my fault. What can I do to fix it? I'll do anything for you to trust me again--" Lance pleaded with her.

"You can't fix it. Right now, you just can't," she told him flat out. Kelly wasn't sure if she'd ever be able to trust him fully again.

"Are you saying it's over?" Lance asked her. The pain of losing her again was not a feeling he wanted to revisit.

"What I'm saying is we need space. You finish your tour and I'm going to finish school up for the year. In the next 2 months we'll think about what we want. Maybe we'll be ok or maybe we won't. Like I said before, I'm moving to Florida in a month-- and maybe that will be good for us, and maybe it won't. Right now I don't know what's going to happen. I'm too hurt right now. You ripped my heart out. I swore to myself that I wouldn't let anyone do that to me again!" She explained to him. "And I did--I let myself get lost in you. I lost who I am and I need to find me again. I have to do that before I can decided what to do about us."

Lance understood what she was telling him. He never wanted to be the one person to hurt her. He swore to her that she could always count on him not to. "I understand. I really do."

Kelly just nodded. "And if you happen to meet someone new--"

Lance interrupted her. "I won't. This whole mess has taught me something very important."

"What's that?" Kelly asked.

"It's taught me that I love you. It's made me realize that you're the one for me," Lance finally admitted to her. "You're it for me. So I'll do what you ask, I'll give you time. I just want you to know that if you do want to be with me again that I won't do it again. Never." Kelly just nodded at him. Her eyes locked with his as he neared the door. "I do love you." Lance told her as he left her dorm room.

"I love you, too--" Kelly whispered through her tears. Lance had left his hat behind. She went over and picked it up and brought it up to her face. This would be the only thing, besides the photograph, that she had of him.

~*~The Tour Bus~*~

**Later that afternoon**

Justin, Chris, Joey and JC entered the bus. They usually took different buses, but this time they didn't. "Where's Lance?" Justin asked as he took a seat on the sofa.

"I'm here--" Lance replied as he walked onto the bus.

"It's about time. We're running late," JC grumbled.

Justin looked over at JC on the sofa. "What's with you? Bad night?"

JC shook his head as he stretched out on the sofa. "No. I just-- well, I tried to call Leah and she wasn't out."

Joey walked into the room. "And what? You're upset with her?"

JC looked at him and shook his head. "Of course not. She has the right to have a life and have fun. It's just that I haven't talked to her in awhile. I've talked to her machine more than her lately, and I--"

Lance sat in a chair across from JC. "Whatever you do-- make sure she knows how you feel. Don't let her slip out of your fingers, leaving you feeling helpless and empty." Lance muttered.

"You all right, man?" Justin asked. He knew these next two months were going to be hard on Lance.

"I'll survive. I mean, it's just two months, right?" Lance asked. 'Two months' he thought to himself. A lot could happen in two months, but he knew he had to be positive or it was just a lost cause.

"Yeah, two months--" JC repeated, almost to himself.

~*~Kelly's dorm~*~

Kelly sat on her bed with a small box in front of her. She had been sitting there for the past hour and a half. She was so fixated at the box that she didn't even look up when Sarah walked in the room. "Kel?" Sarah repeated for the third time.

Kelly finally glanced up at her. "I'm sorry. I guess I spaced out."

Sarah kneeled down next to her. "What are you doing?" She asked softly. Sarah noticed Kelly holding the picture that Lance's Mom had given her.

"You know, I've been sitting here for almost two hours. Trying to pack up the things that remind me of Lance," Kelly muttered as she stared at the picture.

"But you can't, can you?" Sarah questioned. She knew her best friend was in love, but she also knew that her heart was in a million pieces.

"I don't know why, either. It's not like we were engaged or anything," Kelly chuckled. "But I love him so much that this is killing me."

"What did he say to you when he was here? Are you sure this girl wasn't to blame? Are you absolutely positive he betrayed you?" Sarah asked her.

Kelly quickly looked at her friend. "How can you ask me that? I know what I saw. I saw him kissing another girl! He had his hands on her-- I saw it!"

"I know you did. But maybe it wasn't as bad as you think it was. Maybe she kissed him," Sarah said to her. "I mean, I know he loves you. He told me so himself."

"I guess his love isn't enough for me. I need to be able to trust him, and I just can't right now. I can't be with him right now-- and maybe I never will be able to," Kelly whispered as she placed the picure frame of the two of them in the box. She put the cover on the box. "It's done. We're done."

Chapter 12:
**2 Months later**
Lance and JC walked into Lance's apartment. Lance had bought an apartment in Orlando since he was there so much. Lance saw his machine so he walked over and checked the messages. "I probably should call my Mom and let her know I am back."
"Did you know who call?" JC asked him as he made his way out onto the balcony.
"No--" Lance replied to him as he picked up his cordless phone. He dialed the number to his parents and sat down on the couch. "Hi, Mom. Yeah, I'm back in Orlando. Kelly called you--" Lance said to his Mom. He hadn't told his Mom too much about what had happened, mostly because he knew she'd be disappointed. "I know. I regret it all."
JC walked over to the sliding glass door and closed it shut. He dug out his cell phone from his pocket and sat down on a chair that was on the balcony. He dialed a phone number and waited as it rang. "Is Leah there?" JC waited for Leah to come on the phone. "That's the voice I missed so much."
"JC!" Leah said into the phone. "I've missed you so much."
"I know what you mean. I think I've talked to your machine more than you--" JC told her. He had thought a lot about what Lance had told him, and he figured now was as much a good time as any.
"I'm sorry about that. I've been so busy with school. But I've thought about you every day," Leah expressed to him. There wasn't one day she didn't think about him. He was the first thought in her head in the morning and the last at night.
"Yeah, I know you are." JC sighed. He was hoping she wouldn't catch on how nervous he was.
Leah noticed the silence on the other end and that made her nervous. He always had something to say to her, even if it wasn't really important. "JC, is everything all right?"
"I hope so--" JC muttered softly. He turned his head when he heard the screen door open.
"Did I do something or--" Leah began to say as a knot began to build up in her stomach.
"No, no. It's nothing like that. Listen, do you have any free time tomorrow? So we can talk," JC asked her as he stood up from the chair.
"Tomorrow afternoon," Leah said.
"Ok, good. I'll drop by your apartment tomorrow," JC said to her as he glanced at Lance.
"All right," Leah said softly. "JC, are you ending things? Is that what's going on?"
"It's nothing like that. I promise," JC said as he turned his back to Lance. "Look, I just missed you a lot. And there's something important I need to tell you. But I need to tell you face to face. I'll see you tomorrow." JC told her and then hung his cell phone up.
JC turned around to a smiling Lance. "What are you smiling about?"
"Kelly called my Mom," Lance told them as they walked back into his apartment.
"Really?" JC asked as he shut the sliding glass door to the balcony. "What'd she say?"
"She wouldn't say exactly," Lance told him as he tossed JC a bottle of water. "But my Mom gave me Kelly's address." Lance told him as he opened his bottle.
"And?" JC asked him.
"And I think I might just need to take a trip over there--" Lance smiled and took a sip of his water. "Maybe even tonight."
~*~Joey's house~*~
Joey and Justin walked up to Joey's house, but they stopped short of the door. "Be nice--" Joey told him as he walked in the door.
"What? Me be nice?" Justin mocked. He laughed as he walked right in behind him.
Justin saw this girl sitting in the kitchen with Joey's Mom. Then he saw her face practically light up when she spotted Joey. Her smile got even bigger as she ran straight into Joey's arms. "I can't believe you're back!"
Joey wrapped his arms tightly around her waist as he brought her close to him. After a few moments they pulled away from their embrace. "I want you to meet someone." He grabbed her hand and walked over to where Justin was standing. "Trish, this is Justin."
Justin just smiled. "It's nice to finally meet you."
"You're from the band, right?" Trish asked him.
"Yeah. How long have you captured the biggest flirt?" Justin joked, but could tell Joey didn't like it.
Trish looked up at Joey. "Excuse me?" She asked him.
Justin couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, nothing. We just tease Joey about being a big flirt. He likes women."
Trish just smiled. "That doesn't surprise me. But I hear so do you." Trish commented back.
This time, Joey couldn't help but laugh. "Gotcha!"
~*~Kelly's Apartment Complex~*~
**Later that night**
Kelly walked up tothe main entrance but stopped short. She turned towards the guy she was with. "Thanks for getting my mind off of things."
The guy just smiled at her. He placed his hand on her arm. "I know how hard today is for you. Did the talk with Lance's Mom help?" He asked her.
Kelly shook her head. "Yes and no. But it was good to spend a day without having to think of him every moment. Thanks, Brian."
"Anytime, kiddo--" Brian winked at her.
Kelly couldn't help but laugh. He had been there for in so many ways since she met himm a month ago. He was there through good times and bad. She knew he wanted more than friendship, but she wasn't sure. She needed to see Lance again before she made any decisions. She just needed to see him. "You always make my bad days bright."
Leah wrapped her arms around him. "Thank you," she whispered. Kelly thought she heard someone call her name. She pulled back from Brian and turned around. It was dark, but she could still make out the figure. "Lance--" she sighed deeply as he neared her.
"Hi, Kelly--" Lance muttered. He looked at her and then he looked at the guy that stood next to her. Brian grabbed ahold of Kelly's hand and she didn't budge. "What's going on here?" He asked but got no response from either of them. "This was a mistake. I should have never came." Lance whispered and he turned to leave.
"Lance, wait!" Kelly called out to him. "Don't go," she said with a smile. Kelly let go of Brian's hand and walked over to Lance. "Please."
Chapter 13:
Lance stopped for a brief moment, then he took one more step away from Kelly. Kelly reached out and touched his arm. "Lance, please."
Lance slowly turned around and found those incredible piercing eyes. He had thought about her every moment of every day, and he wasn't about to walk away without a talk. "Are we going to be alone?"
"Yes, of course," Kelly nodded. She wasn't quite sure why he would ask that, but then she saw who Lance was looking at. "Oh, right. Just a minute."
Kelly walked over to Brian. "I know what you're thinking." She told him.
Brian couldn't believe what he was hearing. He knew what was going on. "Kel, come on. After what he did to you? Why?"
Kelly grabbed ahold of his hand. "I have to. I know you don't understand--" Kelly tried to tell him, but he cut her off quickly.
"You're right, I don't." Brian snapped back. This frustrated him so much. He wanted to be the one she reached out to, not theone she came to for advice.
"Please just try and undertstand. I need to figure what is left with Lance and I, even if there is anything." Kelly continued to explain, but she knew he didn't understand.
Brian sighed deeply and glanced over at Lance, who was watching the two of them very closely. "Fine. You know where I'll be." Brian told her. He gave her a kiss on the cheek and walked past her, and past Lance.
Kelly's back was towards Lance. She took a deep breath before facing Lance. Slowly, Kelly turned around. She wasn't quite sure what to say to him. It had been two months since they last talked and she didn't leave it on good terms. "I--"
"I guess two months apart helped you move past us," Lance said softly. "I guess I'm too late."
"What do you mean?" Kelly asked him.
Lance dug into his pocket and pulled out a velvet box. "For this--" His eyes met with hers.
"Is that?" Kelly asked in complete shock. Her eyes grew wider as Lance opened up the box. Kelly placed her hand on the diamond ring that sat in the box. "It's so beautiful. I don't know what to say."
"Say you still love me--" Lance whispered. He watched her movements in hopes of figuring it out first.
~*~Joey's House~*~
Joey took a seat next to Justin in the living room as he watched Trisha with his Mom. Justin looked over at Joey and was blown away. Joey was definately the last member of the group that he suspected to be so into one girl. "Joey, you with me?"
Joey glanced over at Justin. "Yes. I agree."
Justin laughed at him. "You agree?" He asked. "Ok, you agree about what?"
Joey laughed when he knew Justin had caught him in a stare. "I don't know. My Mom seems to like Trish, don't you think?"
Justin couldn't help but smile. "Yeah, she does. And you seem to be in another planet."
Joey looked at Justin quizically. "Huh?"
Justin looked over at Trish to make sure she wasn't looking at them. "Look at you. Since when have you been a one woman kind of guy? I mean, I can see with Lance, me, or JC - but you?"
Joey looked over at Trish and smiled. "I guess you never know what I'll do."
~*~Kelly's Apartment Complex~*~
Lance looked up and saw the shock written all over Kelly's face. He closed the box. "Ok, maybe not."
Kelly felt a few tears roll down her face. She quickly brushed them away so he wouldn't see. "It's not that I don't love you. God, that just isn't it."
"But?" Lanced asked as he propped for a longer answer. He placed the velvet box back in his pocket.
"We haven't talked in months. I didn't know what to think. Did you still love me? Did you hate me? What? I didn't know." Kelly began to explain.
"I could never hate you. I told you that I would give you time for you to figure out what you wanted. But that moment you walked away from me, I knew what I wanted. I wanted you. I knew I only wanted you in my life. Kel, there is no one else for me." Lance revealed to her. He knew he had to expose all if he was going to win her trust back again.
"Lance, things have changed. I've changed too much to be with you now. I love you so much. And I think I always will. But I can't forget what you did." Kelly told him as tears fell.
"You can't forget or you can't forgive?" Lance questioned her.
"I can always forgive. But trust-- that I don't have right now. You betrayed my trust in us. The trust we needed to survive. Remember when we talked about that?" She asked him, and he nodded. "Remember, you told me that if we didn't have trust we wouldn't survive in your business world. Well, the trust went out the door. You closed that door-- our door. I can't go back without trust, Lance. I just can't," Kelly told him. She walked over to him and removed the chain around her kneck. "You keep this," she told him as she placed it into his right hand. Both of them had tears streaming down their cheeks as they prepared to say good-bye. "Don't forget that I'll love you forever. You were my one true love, my best friend. I will always cherish the times we shared and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world," Kelly took a deep breath as Lance's hand touched her face. "I can't do it anymore, Lance. I can't." Kelly told him as she took his hand away from her face. She looked into his eyes for a few moments and then she turned around. She walked right into her apartment complex and left him stunned.
Lance felt like he couldn't breath. The girl he felt he couldn't live without just broke his heart. She just walked out of his life just as easily as she walked into it. "I won't give up." Lance muttered to himself and then disappeared.
Chapter 14:
**Later that night**
After Lance spent the last two hours driving, he decided to go back to his apartment. He was sure all the guys would be there by now, but he couldn't avoid everyone forever. Lance walked in the front door and was greeted by a bunch of craziness. He didn't see JC or Chris around as he walked further into his apartment. He didn't even see his roommate. He noticed Justin with some he had only seen a few times, and Joey was with someone he'd never seen.
"The man is back!" Justin laughed as he threw Lance a beer.
Lance knew he was trying to be funny, but he just wasn't in the mood for jokes. Not after seeing Kelly. Lance opened up the beer can and drank itas fast as he could. He tossed it in the garbage and made his way out onto his balcony.
Joey looked away from Trish for a moment. He knew it wasn't like Lance to not say hi. "What's wrong with him?" Joey asked Justin.
"I'm not sure. Let me go find out--" Justin responded as he made his way out onto the balcony. He found Lance leaning over and staring down at this couple who came out of his building. Justin looked down at the couple and then back up at his friend. He didn't want to pry so he stood there and waited for Lance to say something.
"I saw Kelly tonight--" Lance finally blurted out.
"It didn't go good?" Justin asked him. He noticed Lance take something out of his pocket. "Is that what I think it is?" Justin questioned him as he noticed the small, velvet box.
Lance just nodded a few times. "I showed it to her. But I didn't ask her."
Justin knew this wasn't good. "How come?"
"When I got to her place she was outside. She wasn't alone--" Lance said as he looked over at Justin. Lance sat there in silence for a few seconds and then looked back out at the blue sky. "She was with this guy. They seemed close."
"You don't think they're together or anything, do you?" Justin asked him.
"I don't know. I didn't ask and she didn't say. She basically just told me she couldn't go back. That she couldn't trust me. She said good-bye and I just listened to her. I didn't know what to say--or do. I still don't." Lance looked over at Justin as he leaned against the railing. "I don't know what's next for me. I guess I thought things would be different."
"Well...what did you expect to happen when you got home?" Justin asked him as he rested his arm on the railing.
"I don't know--" Lance shook his head. "I just didn't expect this. I thought she was the one. I mean, now what?!"
"Move on. Let me set you up with a close friend of my family's--" Justin said to him. He saw the 'are you crazy' look. "Hold on. She's really nice and really sweet. You'll love her."
~*~Kelly's Apartment~*~
Kelly knew in a time of extreme pain and confusion, there was only one person that she could talk to-- and that was Sarah. Kelly reached for her phoneacross her bed. She dialed a number, one that she dialed quite frequently. "Sar, it's me. Sorry I'm calling so late."
"You've seen him, haven't you?" Sarah asked her best friend.
Kelly shookher head. She wasn't sure how Sarah could do it, but she could always tell when she had seen or talked to Lance. "Yeah, earlier tonight. I said good-bye to him. And I gotta tell you, that was even harder than thefirst time I said good-bye."
"Oh--Kel. What did he say? Anything?" Sarah asked her.
"Well, I think he was going to ask me to marry him," Kelly told her. She waited for some type of response, but only got silence. "Sarah?"
Sarah was in complete shock. From what Kelly had told her before, marriage was not something on Lance's top 10 things to do in the near future. "I'm sorry. You're sure he was going to ask you. I mean, you just don't think--"
Kelly interrupted her. "No, I know. He took out this ring - God, it was so beautiful. Saying good-bye to him tore me up inside. I still love him so much. Walking away from him tonight was like ripping out a piece of me." A tear fell down her face. Before she could say anymore there was a knock at the door. "Sar, hold on. Someone's at the door." Kelly opened it up and came face to face with Brian. "Sarah, I'll call you back." Kelly told her and then they hung up.
"Can I come in?" Brian asked her.
Kelly stepped back away from the door and Brian walked inside. Kelly shut the door behind him.
Brian turned around to face her. "I know I told you to come to me. But I just had to see you."
~*~Lance's Apartment~*~
"For the 100th time--no! I am not going to date someone new. Kelly is who I want to be with, all right?" Lance said to him as he walked back into his apartment.
"Lance, she let you go--" Justin responded as he followed right behind Lance.
Joey and Trish looked at the two of them. "Who let who go?" Joey asked them.
"Kelly let Lance go--" Justin said as he looked at Joey. He hoped he would get some kind of support. But then again-- he was talking about Joey. "And I said I should set him up with someone."
Joey looked over at Lance. "What's so bad about that?"
Lance knew Joey would back him once he said this final word. "Joe, I showed her the ring."
"Oh!!!" Joey said as he nodded. He turned towards Justin. "I got to go with Lance on this one."
"What?! Since when have you--" Justin stopped midsentence and looked over at Trish. "Nevermind."
Trish just stood up. "Maybe I should go--"
Lance turned around and shook his head. "No. I'm sorry. We haven't even met and I am just going on and on about my troubles. I'm Lance." He extended his hand and shook it with hers.
"I'm Trish," she said with a smile.
Joey stood up as well and put his arm around her. "And we're a couple. A private couple, if you know what I mean."
"I do--" Lance nodded.
"Lance, can I ask you something?" Trish asked him, hoping not to invade his privacy.
Lance shrugged his shoulders. "Sure."
"Does this girl mean a lot to you?" Trish asked him.
"The world--" Lance responded. He looked over at Justin and shook his head.
"Then dating someone else isn't going to make that go away. I don't know what happened to make things the way they are-- but if you care about her, the way you say you do, then do what you can to make it up to her. Prove to her that she can count on you," Trish told him. She looked up at Joey. "Prove that and she can believe in the two of you."
Lance nodded with a smile. "Hold onto her, Joe. She's a keeper."
Chapter 15:
**The next morning**
Kelly and Brian had sat up till really late talking about what happened between her and Lance, and what this meant for the two of them. Up until recently the two of them were just friends-- nothing more, nothing less. They had fallen asleep onher bed. Brian woke up and saw Kelly sleeping soundly on his chest. He didn't dare move an ich.
After a few seconds Kelly shot up in bed. Brian looked up at her. "What is it?"
Kelly ran her hands through her hair. "I had this bad nightmare."
Brian sat up as well and touched her arm. "Everything's all right. Do you remember what your nightmare was about?"
Kelly turned towards him. "It was about Lance--" Kelly muttered softly as she tried to get her bearings of where she was and who she was with. "I'll be right back." Kelly hopped out of her bed and ran into the kitchen. Kelly picked up the kitchen phone and dialed Lance's apartment. "Lance, please be there," she muttered under her breath. After getting the machine, she hung up. She heard Brian walk into the room. She picked up the phone and dialed again.
"Obviously, he's not there--" Brian said with disgust.
Kelly, not acknowledging what he said, dialed another time. And once again she got the machine. "Dang it!"
"Let's go out for breakfast and talk, ok?" Brian asked her.
After a few moments Kelly nodded. "All right." As Kelly stepped away from the kitchen, the phone rang. Kelly stopped and looked back at it.
"Leave it be--" Brian said to her. He reached out for her hand and tried to guide her away.
Kelly shook her head. "I can't," she replied as she rushed to the phone. "Hello?" She said as she glanced over at Brian. "Justin?" Kelly said into the phone. There was something in her gut that told her something wasn't right. "Please tell me he's all right. Tell him-- just tell him to hold on for me."
Brian watched her closely as she hung up the phone. "What about breakfast?"
Kelly just shook her head. "I can't. I'm sorry, Brian. Lance is hurt and I have to get to him--"
Brian stepped in front of her so she couldn't move. "You are going to go be with the guy who doesn't show you any resect?"
"He loves me completely, and because of that I need to be with him. If you won't drive me, then move out of my way. Because one way or another, I will be with him." Kelly told him as she rushed past him.
~*~ER~*~
**20 minutes later**
JC and Chris walked over to Justin, who was sitting in the waiting area. "Did you get ahold of Kelly like he asked?" Chris asked Justin.
Justin nodded his head. "Yeah, she is on her way. It's weird--it was like she knew."
JC looked away from Justin and spotted Kelly. He waved her over to them. Kelly approached the guys. They all could tell she had been crying. Her face was all red and puffy. "Kel, sit down for a minute."
"I don't want to. I need to see him," Kelly said as tears began to fall once again.
JC got up and stood next to her. He put an arm around her andjust held her close to him for a few moments to calm her down. After another minute, she took a breath and sat down. "How could something like this happen?!"
"Nobody is quite sure," Joey told her. "He was out walking alone--"
Kelly cut him off. "Alone? What was he doing out alone? Where were the bodygaurds?"
"He wanted some down time," Justin added. "Kelly, he had a rough night."
"Are you saying this is my fault? Are you saying if I wouldn't have left him, then this wouldn't have happened? Is that what you're saying?" Kelly asked in a panic.
"Of course not," JC told her. "Why don't we take you back there now. He's awake, but he's in and out of consciousness. But he wanted tomake sure we called you."
~*~ER #5~*~
JC showed her where Lance's room was and then he left her be. Kelly opened his door and she his eyes shut. She saw all thesemachineshooked up to him. "Lance--" she whispered as she walked over to his hospital bed.
Kelly stood next to him. She reached over and grabbed his hand. Kelly brought his right hand up to her face andjust held it close to her cheek. "Oh, God." Kelly placed his hand back down on the bed and touched his face. "I woke up this morning with the worst feeling. I knew something was wrong. I just knew it." She paused. "My heart skipped a thousand beats when I got that call. If you don't remember anything else I say to you, I want you to remember this--I loveyou. I love you now, I love you always." Kelly pressed her face up against his.
"Lo-ve you," Lance whispered, almost unbearable to hear.
Kelly stood up and a huge smile spread across her face. "I know," she said to him as she held his hand. Just when she thought she got him back, he left her again. His eyes shut again in a matter of seconds, and then then she heard all this noise. Kelly let go of his hand and noticed the machines flatline. Kelly buzzed for help about 3 different times as she stood in a panic. "Ok, ok." she told herself. "Lance, listen to me. If you never listen to me again, listen to me now. I need you in my life, ok? I need you with me. If you don't stay right here with me then we'll never have another chance. Do you hear me?" She cried. Kelly slapped his face a few times. "Damn it, Lance! Look at me--" she weeped. "Look at me!" She reached down and felt his hand go limb. "Oh, my God. I love you! Listen to me! I love you!!" Kelly screamed through her tears as she rested her head against his chest.
And in a matter of seconds a bunch of doctors and nurses came in the room. "Get her out of here!" The doctor yelled.
The nurse gently removed Kelly from Lance's chest. "Come with me," she whispered. She took Kelly outside the room. "Let the doctor help him."
Kelly stood up against the glass and the tears flowed steadily down her face. "Don't leave me--" she whispered as she watched him through the glass.
