IC: In Command, refers to the officer or NCO in charge of a certain department, group, or task.
2IC: Second In Command, refers to the IC's primary assistant.
3IC: Third In Command, refer to the IC's secondary assistant.
AP: Anti-personnel. usually in referrence to a weapon.
APC: Armored Personnel Carrier
BUPERS: BUreau of PERSonnel, refers to the administration section.
Cammies: Refers to the standard dress of marines. Short for camaflauge. They are olive-drab combat pants bloused into black combat boots, a black t-shirt and black belt.
Combatsit: Combative Situation, refers to a situation where there is fighting with a hostile force.
CSM: Company Sergeant Major, refers to the highest ranking NCO in a company (one hundred troops), usually ranked MWO.
Fitrep: Fitness Report, refers to the statis of a marine, or piece of equipment.
Grens: Grenades.
IMP: Individual Meal Packets, the rations marines love!
NCO: Non-Commisioned Officers, refers to enlisted marines ranked PTE through CWO.
PWO: Platoon Warrant Officer, refers to the IC of a platoon(thirty troops), usually ranked WO.
Rank Structure: The heirarchy of rank gained by experience.
RSM: Regemental Sergeant Major, refers to the highest ranking NCO in a regement (three hundred troops), usually ranked CWO.
SecCom, SecIC:Section Commander, refers to the IC of a section (ten troops), usually ranked SGT.
Sec2IC: Section Second In Command, refers to the 2IC of a section, usually ranked CPL.
Sitrep: Situation Report, refers to the progress of a mission or task.
