MARINE ISSUE
C-suits are body suits that incorporate full body coverage including gloves, boots, and helmet. They provide an internal air supply. These are used in toxic atmospheres.
E-suits are body suits that incorporate full body coverage including gloves, boots, and helmet. They provide an internal air supply. These are used in toxic atmospheres with hostile pressures and temperatures.
This armor is designed to reduce the impact of physical blows and blades. Not resistant to energy discharges. It is thick, platelike duraplast in dull olive-drab color. Consists of vest and helmet. The vest is mounted with over-the-shoulder (OTS) lights. The helmet is mounted with smaller lights and a camera that broadcasts back to the APC or Dropship. The helmets visor contains a head-up-display (HUD) and image-inhancement system that displays anything viewed through the visor in wireframe. The visor also displays lifesigns and can be modified to work in union with the Range Finder on the M-75 Rifle. These systems are controled through a control panel attached to the user's left wrist.
Identical to the Class I armor with the exception of defense ability. This armor can also absorb phaser and disruptor beams of a setting less than 5 (stuns).
Identical to the Class II armor with the exception of defense ability. This armor is an advancment on the Class II. These suits have a backpack that carries a large power cell and electronic required for a small deflector shield. These suits, when activated, can absorb all phaser blasts until the shield is depleted. It can withstand a maximum of 2 phaser blasts on level 16. Considerably more of the lesser settings.
NOTE: This suit is still in expermental stage and is not 100 percent reliable. The suits have a tendency to short out, often causing severe injury to the wearer.
STARFLEET ISSUE
Worn under uniform, doesn't restrict movement too much. Made of many different fibers from different parts of the galaxy intertwined together, making a thin suit (like a dive suit) about 3/8" thick. Stops phaser blast of up to setting five, and offers a little protection against higher settings depending on severity of shot. Face mask, gloves, and boots also available.
This technology is in the prototype stage. The entire unit is incorporated into the soldier's uniform. It makes the wearer almost invisible to sight, almost shielded from sensors, but still vulnerable to heat tracking and motion sensing devices. Ten of these cloak suits have been developed for each Shadow Ops ship. They function off a standard power pack, which provide about 15 minutes of constant use. Extra power packs are too bulky to carry along. Being these are prototype units, ANYTHING can go wrong with them.
