THIRD  GRADE

In 3rd grade reading comprehension continues to be so very important.

*As you read together ask your child lots of questions to make sure they are understanding and can respond to what they are reading.

*Also create a family “good book” journal and write about your favorite stories to increase retelling.  You can also write about good movies you watch together.

*Remember reading to your child is just as important and having them read to you!

*Create math story problems while grocery shopping and playing board games at home.

Doing these things will help get your child ready to take the language arts and math MEAP tests next year in 4th grade!!!
