Essential question: How
do plants grow?
Nakeya: First a seed gets
planted.
Marvin: Then the seed germinates
and grows roots.
Dominique: The seedling stage
comes next.
Patrick: The stem grows and
leaves grow on the stem.
Emmalee: A flower grows at
the top.
Toni: The next stage is pollination.
Macy: That is when a flower
opens and seeds are in the center.
Logan: The flower dies and
then seeds spread.
Cameron: Seeds spread by
animal fur, wind, people, and water.
Essential question: What
do plants need to grow?
Erik: Plants need water,
dirt, air, and light.
John: Plants need space to
grow and nutrients.
Leeann: Plants need sugar
called glucose.
Essential question: How do
we use plants?
Cameron: Plants give us medicine.
Samantha: We get food from
plants.
Marissa: Our clothes come
from plants
Danielle: We use trees to
give us shelter.
Ciara: Plants give us oxygen.
Cory: We give plants carbon
dioxide.
Kelcie: Plants use our carbon
dioxide and change it into oxygen for us. That is called photosynthesis.
