This year your child will be taking the MEAP (Michigan Education Assessment Program) test in language arts and math. TEST TAKING SKILLS *As your family reads together identify if what you are reading is a story or informational text. Ask comprehension questions as you read to increase your student’s ability to gather important information as they are reading. *Compare stories that you read and discuss the common themes of the stories. *Create math story problems on
a regular basis (at the grocery store, while playing board games, etc.)
to increase their real-life problem solving skills.
