Community Projects
 All the kids in the UPWARDS Program completed a community service project.  Students raised over $2,000 in Jump Rope for Heart.  During Ypsi Pride day, students worked with the Neighborhood Watch team.  They planted flowers, cleaned up the playground, and cleaned the computer lab.
Together we made a big difference!

What are some issues faced in our local community?
John-Some people are hurting animals for no reason.
Samantha-People hear gunshots in their community.
Marrisa-Air, water, and land pollution are some issues.
Kelcie-People are getting shot and dying.
Nakeya-People are starting trouble.
Emmalee-There are car accidents.
Cory-People get injuries from fighting.
Erik-People can get struck by lightning.
Toni-You can find out information by watching the news on TV.
Robert-You can learn more by asking people.
Marvin-Kids are throwing rocks at windows.
Essential question:
What can students do to enhance their local community?
Dwayne-You can plant trees.
Cameron-You can pick up trash.
Danielle-You can plant flowers and recycle.
Ciara- You can talk to people about not selling drugs.
Leeann-You can talk to people about drunk and reckless driving.
Patrick-You can help at Ypsi Pride Day on May 19th.
Brandon-You can call the Humane Society if people are hurting animals.
Logan-You can call information to get phone numbers to help 555-1212.
Dominique-You can make birdhouses.
Macy-You can stop people from driving drunk.
