In Memory of Kaitlyn Nicole Stover
April 1, 1995 to April 2, 1995

My sweet angel Kaitlyn Nicole.

Please forgive the red marks around her face as they were made by the
hospital emergency staff while trying to resuscitate Kaitlyn.  Seeing
how she was only with us for a brief time, we were not able to get alot of
good pictures of her when she was still alive.  We cherish every single
photo that we were given by the hospital.
Kaitlyn was born premature on April 1, 1995.  She was 7 weeks
early and born very sick.  She developed an infection inutero
which caused her to be born early.  She was not able to
recover from the infection and after 15 short hours of life,
she was welcomed into heaven.
She died on April 2, 1995.

This is the two of us in the hospital. Her daddy is in the background.
Poor little thing had so many tubes connected to her!  Her hand was so
very tiny, I just sat and held it for a long time. She never resisted.
This is the only photo we have of me with my first daughter.
I was afraid to touch her for fear that I might make her sicker,
but thank the Lord I did, as I didn't have much time for it after this.

Her feet were so very tiny!  I had to put a quarter up next to them so you could get the true size of them!
She was truly very small, even though she weighed a full pound
more than the doctor expected her to at this stage in gestation.

For our little angel we chose a headstone with
a Precious Moments girl on it, one just like
on the background of this page. She was born
around Easter time, and seeing that we only
shared a few "precious moments",
we felt it was fitting.
Kaitlyn is buried not too far away from her great grandparents
in Athens Township Cemetery south of Ionia, Kansas.  Irises
are expected to bloom quite nicely near her stone this year!
Kaitlyn's 7th birthday has recently passed, and we wish she
could be here to celebrate it with us!
