Roads with a little more intrigue.
Trying to find Bayou Cocodrie, southeast of Ville Platte in the Faubourg Road area. After traveling down many of these side roads, off LA.363. I found it. I think I was on a private farm road, there were no hostile signs , so I continued, finding the lazy bayou in a natural setting. Great herons and egrets everywhere. What a prize.
AR 27, what a road, from one end to the other. Are you pulled around that corner?
More of AR 27. I could have shot the whole road.
Along the good old Easy Rider Road, La.105, between Krotz Springs and Simmesport. The yellow sign says curves for the next 30 miles. Believe it? No, but should be. This road can be incorporated into so many good rides. It should not be missed.
Ready for adventure, come to Louisiana. This one goes from La. 10 at Palmetto to US. 71. So, I can go from US. 71 to Plaucheville by gravel. Gravel is great, it makes you slow down and try not to fall. Thought I was going to give you that "smell the roses" line. No, do your thing. I do.
Across the Morganza Spillway by road, not bridge. Northwest of Morganza. I didn't go any further. I was with a friend that was on a bike that would not have been appropriate for what lay out there.. This is north of the sci-fi structure.
I-10 bridge at Baton Rouge. Picture taken from a car. Gee, I wished I'd been on my bike. Stay away from I-10. There is no reason to be on it. If you need a way, write me, I'll fix you up.
Or, take it to the house.
I've given you enough information to go to Mapquest(tm) and find this stuff. That's your weekend assignment.
Taken after the mud incident.
