We are just an ordinare family, who was looking a dog, new membership into our family and finally wanted to have an Old English Sheepdogs in 1986 -those days it was not easy to have a puppy and we had to wait our first one more than six months. In our family we have three children; Mika,Jukka and Annika, my husband Matti and I myself; Pivi. When we had our first one, INT CH Sanysahara - as she began later days - our kids were  young but today almost grownups too, youngest will be 17 yrs on 2001. Welive in FINLAND, in a little village, Ristiina, which in near of Mikkeli - middle of hundreds of lakes. Saimaa, the biggest lake in Finland, is in the other side of the road when looking from windows in upstairs.
     Those days there where no mention to begin as a breeder, but somehow we got involved into this breed and it all began..
.
First litter was born -89 and ever since has several litters born under kennelname BLOCKHEADS.
We started our breeding with INT-S-FIN-EST CH SANYSAHARA, who never became a foundation bitch in  our kennel. After two years having her we bought a lovely lady, GREY COATS AMAZING AMANDA, who was the  very first stud bitch in our breeding.
Even today  you can see some of her offsprings in the pedigrees of
BLOCKHEADS old english sheepdogs.
While the years went by we have imported old english sheepdogs from England;
FIN CH RAGGLEBARN BETSY TROTWOOD, from Holland INT-S-FIN-EST-LTU CH VIGILATS QUIDNUNC POJU and also from Holland  INT-FIN-EST-LTU-LV CH, BALTW97-98,LTUW98,ESTW96 KONTIKI A.D. ELBE-URSTROMTAL.

On 1998 we bought from USA a male;
FIN-EST RUS CH LUVTYM CHERRY BOMB IN SNOW, and our latest import comes from REATA S breeding, a boy dob 22.9.01.

Also, some frozen semen from England and from Canada has been used in breeding - from the first one only one offspring to a famous Ragglebarn Big Jim Colosimi and the latest one is from MiddleEarth Sticker Fur Detail.
All our studs are from healthy, wellknown pedigrees, with lovely, open temperaments and all has been x- rayed (hips and elbows) and eye-tested.
