Digital Collages
This is one of my favorite collages.  It was a simple moment when Amelia was showing me how to sign her name and I just happened to have the camera nearby.  The natural light from the side window provides nice contrasts on her face yet a perfect spot light for her hand.

The main photo I used for this collage is the same one where she is signing the letter i.  I chose  that one because her expression is happy, less focused on how to make the letter, than the other photos.  The straight line of photos across the top allows the viewer to "read" easily.
We woke up painfully early to see the balloons lift off from the Wilbur D May Arboretum, as you can tell from the first picture on the left.

There were so many fun and exciting balloons to see, I found it difficult to showcase just one.  These were some of our favorites.

This format of pictures at different levels (rather than on a straight plane or line) is complementary to the movement of balloons.
Digital collages allow me to gather my photos together, such as we do in a photo album; tell a story, such as in a scrapbook page; and share with distant family and friends.

I don't always get the chance to write a letter but after I create one collage I can send to everyone that has an e-mail address, and they know whats going on in my life.  I love it!

Let me know what you think.  I enjoy doing collages and more will be posted soon.
