How Aids Started
Chimpanzees were the first source of HIV which was later on was passed on to humans. The first case of AIDS was found in the United States and was later spread throughout the world. It is not known for sure when and where exactly the first virus of AIDS came from though. The three earliest cases of AIDS were found in men throughout the world after the men had already died. The earliest case of AIDS was found in a frozen plasma sample taken from an adult male in 1959 living in what was then the Democratic Republic of Congo. No one knows why AIDS was spread so quickly but it is believed that the main cause of this epidemic was through inernational travel, unsafe sexual practices, the blood industry and the widespread of drug use.
