Fellow nature lovers having a stroll
Some weekends are spent with rays of sunshine and our
reincarnated selves, be it two or four legged creatures.
The Chilterns are close to the University town of
Oxford, UK. It offers splendid off-roading opportunities, and awesome
views around the hills. The roads itself are not too demanding. High
speeds are the norm of the day and this of course caused a minor
accident involving myself and now dented tree.

make things worse, I also had our only puncture on the route, but this
gave time for the lads to catch their breaths and laze in the sunshine. |

The rest of the route was
without incident. We passed grassy meadows, sped through miles of single
track and even had about two miles in a dense forest - the best of all
worlds where mountain biking is concerned!
We had a few spectators on the way, cows, pigs and our
last obstacle was a big brown cow in the middle of our route.

Obstacles along the way...
The Chilterns make for great off-roading, and we're
definitely heading back to those hills in the near future for some fun
fast riding.
This highlight of the day has to be the Sunday roast at the end of
the trail. Pub food is very traditional in England, and
it's where you can lick your fingers clean, especially if home made food
is about 6000 miles due south.
