How people are exposed to VX gas: It can be released into the air and then a person can be affected through skin and eye contact or inhalation.All though VX does not mix with water well, it can still contaminate water and effect people through the water. It can be carried on peoples clothing and effect others that come in contact with the clothing. VX is another gas that is heavier then air and will sink to low lying areas.
Signs and symptoms of VX gas: Symptoms can include runny nose, watery and painfull eyes, blurred vision, drooling and sweating, confussion,convulsions, and paralysis.
How people can protect themselves: If released out doors people can move to higher ground. If you come in contact with VX you should remove your clothing and shower with soap and try to remove as much of the gas as possible. After cleaning your self seek immediate medical attention. There is antidotes for VX gas and are usually given as soon as exposer has taken place.
