Arakias - Quiet spoken, human soldier who, when the need arises, is an extemely well spoken leader. He is discharged from Theorom (The armed military forces in his world) for attempting to break into one of the energy facilities that the government uses to drain the blood of the fantasy creatures in his world: The dragons and fairies. His bestfriend, since childhood, is Kariyanna who hates the fact that he's in Theorom and she despises the governement. Arakias' family was murdered on "accident" but he later finds out from Darkreever, when they encounter him for the first time in the Graveyard of Hope, that Darkreever is responsible for the murders. Arakias later speaks with his dead sister in the Ethereal Plane, which until then, is merely a legend passed down through the generations.
Kariyanna - She suspects the government for everything that ever goes wrong in the world, but Arakias always casually pushes her thoughts aside and mocks her. She is a soft spoken, good hearted girl. Tensions later arise the two when Arakias' anger gets the best of him and he blames her for his discharge from Theorom. Her parents were also slane in the explosion.
Rhyagelle and Avalinya - Two elven sisters, both naturally beautiful as all elves are thought to be, one brunette, one blonde. Rhyagelle is a very outgoing and loud person, and Avalinya is a much quieter person. Avalinya does not speak her mind when things trouble her, and she lets frustration build. Avalinya and Rhyagelle are introduced to the Group when they venture to the Elven Academy of Magik (Arakias and Kariyanna go there in search of the missing dragons unicorns and fairys), also known as the Academy of Aren'thel. They are ordered to accompany Arakias and Kariyanna in the search for the missing fantasy creatures. Avalinya kills Rhyagelle in the Forest of Deception. She later sacrifices herself at the Falls of Wishing to save Saria from the stone she's imprisoned in.
Saria - A great snow leopard, the strongest creature to ever exist in the Heroes' world. She was imprisoned in a stone by the greatest Wizard to ever live, Master Aren'thel. Rhyagelle and Avalinya are given the stone when they leave the Academy to go with Arakias.
Syphen - Darkreever's female apprentice. A rogue, master of deception through use of rings and daggers. She stabs Kariyanna with a poisonous dagger when she's tricked into helping Darkreever. She will later join the group in the hunt for Darkreever in hopes of revenge.
Darkreever - Theorom's top Dragon Rider, the most elite soldier. He is commanded to kill Arakias and Kariyanna, and in return is promised to be infused with the blood of the Unicorns, Fairys and Dragons.
Emperor Zalen and Emporess Shala - King and Queen of Theorom, Shala later has Darkreever assassinate Zalen and frames the murder on Arakias. She is very cold hearted and cruel to everyone. She makes the mistake of infusing Darkreevers blood with that of the mystical creatures, and he later kills her as well, and claims the throne for himself.
Sharae - A cleric that joins the group when they come to her temple seeking healing and guidance.
Zorious - A Barbarian Shaman that joins the group when they visit his ice filled village in the mountains to the north. He goes with them, in hopes of finding the only possible cure for Kariyanna, which is a plant that only grows near the top of The Unicorns Horn.
The government has been creating a form of energy that powers their newly designed Mech soldiers (machine). The mech's terrorize familys in the slums (poor section of Toron) and the citys seem to be getting larger as the government grows stronger and creates more and more Mechina's (The mech soldiers). A previously electorial government seems to be making a tyrannic stand and end freedom for the people of Toron. Magical creatures are disappearing as the world is turning more towards a mechanical era.
