Harry Potter is my most recent fandom addiction. I've been an anime fan first and foremost, going from DragonballZ, Gundam Wing, Escaflowne, Ranma 1/2, and others. Of course, I find that sometimes the fandom is just plain better, like for DragonballZ. I'm also an artist, as evidenced by my main site. These links are some of the more helpful sites I've been to.
Polykarbon: Wonderful tutorial site for drawing anime and for Photoshop techniques.
nethersphere.com :: art tips: Additional tutorials for Photoshop. Three, on CGing line drawings, creating reflective jewels and that metallic glow on magical metal weapons.
Dragon Paint Tutorials: Photoshop tips and drawing tutorials, focusing on fantasy elements like a tutorial for dragons and fairies.
Photoshop Cafe: Tutorials on special effects, from convincing rock and wood textures, to lightening bolts, to removing an image from its background, essential for photo manipulation.
Impact Group: More Photoshop tutorials. More than 400, in fact.
firstVIEW: Great for references of both genders, from walking, standing, hairstyles, accessory, and costume ideas, this site catalogues runway models from the fashion shows of international fashion designers, putting them into galleries for free.
Lord Carnage's Cursed Fanboys Page!: Hilarious and blunt anime reviews, from a group of cosplaying, rpging anime fans.
the gallery @ empty movement: The comprehensive Revolutionary Girl Utena, an anime, image gallery. High quality images. Perfect for anime fanartists trying to get a handle on shading, hair, and poses. Of course, Chiho Saito just draws impossibly beautiful bishonen boys. And nearly all of them Slytherin at heart!
Anime Project Alliance Gallery: This gallery has a number of popular anime series archived here; more hair references, poses, and costume ideas.
Engrish.Com: Never fails to make me laugh. An archive of examples of Japanese-mangled commercial English.
Diabloii.net: Diablo II is practically the only computer game I play. Necromancer only. I like the articles, some of which are particularly humorous.
Tarot Passages: Yes, I do read the cards. I'm a Scorpio, interested in the occult. This site has deck reviews and articles and extensive links. I like the attitude of the people on this site.
the bottom!draco emporium: Archive in which all of the slash stories involve Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter books to be the "bottom" half of sexual activities.
Perfectly Flawed: An exlusive archive for Ron Weasley/Draco Malfoy slash. Has its own Yahoo!Group.
:Master and the Wolf: Severus Snape and Remus Lupin Fuh-Q-Fest. My entry, "Lap It Up, Love". This attempt took about one hour to churn out after choosing the challenge. The rush shows, I think.
Dragoness Eclectic's Dragonball Z Fanfics: As bad as the anime itself is, the story is a pretty good yarn in original manga form. This fanfiction series is very good and involved, written by someone who really knows what makes Saiyans tick. Also the mother of a wisecracking, introspective fanon Raditz. A good read.
Juuhachi-gou's Place of Being: Very involved series on what happens to Mirai Trunks after returning to his own timeline. Saiyans do attract action wherever and whenever they are.
Seeker stories in the Potter universe Well known HP slash writer, my personal favorite being "A Perfect Plan" out of her Snape/Harry fics.
Mirror of Maybe: By Midnight Blue. Involved usage of Alternate Dimensions idea and a Harry/Snape fic.
La Socit des Femmes Dangereuses: A group of female HP fanfiction writers. Personal favorites are Anna's "Roman Holiday" trilogy, Riley's to be unfinished for forever "Pawn to Queen", and Abby and Domina's "The Fire and the Rose". Slash and het fanfiction archived here.
Didodikali's Lemonade Party: Good Escaflowne and Harry Potter fanfiction. Humorous and believable.
Miko no da's Fanfiction Archive: Slashing is practically unavoidable in Gundam Wing fandom, making it my first slash experience. My personal favorites of Miko no da's GW fanfiction are "Object Lessons" and "Mix 'n Match".
Jaelle and Orla's Fanfiction: Multiple anime fandoms. I recommend their Ranma 1/2 and Gundam Wing Fanfics.
Girl Days: Downright laugh out loud humor, no matter how many times I read this. Ranma has to come to terms with his female half, persuaded by his mother. Anybody who knows anything about the Ranma 1/2 universe will recognize the wackiness. Kenko's WIP that should be finished, but isn't. Fortunately, it's a good long WIP so even if it goes unfinished, it's a humor gem.
Nasbionna's Harry Potter Tribute: She has an incredible style, unique and sharp, reminiscent of medieval woodcuts.
artdungeon.net: Watercolors. Wonderful, complex HP scenes done in watercolors. This artist has talent.
The Turtle's Itch: Multifandom artist, a German who likes Japanese manga and anime. She's got a HP doujinshi in the works. Now that's international.
Opera Noodlemantra: A proponent of Remus Lupin/Severus Snape and prolific artist of that pairing. Her linked personal website has numerous humorous and cute anime styled HP fanart, a shoujo style. Her most recent art is posted on her Livejournal.
Francois Diable's Deviantart Gallery: Just in case her geocities site is down.
Sunnsilina's art: Interesting Goth Snape and my personal favorite, "Am I Human Now?" is a remarkable piece, dark message and emotionally commanding.
Magsby's Art: A Cedric Diggory fan and Marauder's Era HP fanartist. Bishonen with a western touch; her boys look great and masculine.
Where did all my Hufflepuff fun go!?: Magsby's Livejournal. Like Francois, most of her most recent art is posted here.
Maleficium's Artworks: Tinaling's artwork. Nearly all of her work is Maurader Era. She's also a winner of a number of HP art contests, and it's easy to see why. Similar to Disney's style, with enough Japanese influence to make adorable chibis.
Tiny Q's Harry Potter Space: Her gallery shows progression of style. One consistent thing is her complete command of crayons. She is also a Master of Clothing Folds.
Didodikali's Lemonade Party: Not only fanfiction, but good illustrations.
I Fiend,Therefore I Am: Fiendling has some interesting pirate HP characters. And smut. From funny to violent smut. Makes me smile. She also does work on MSPaint, which gives a nice, scribbly quality to some of her posted work.
Madhouse: Vejita & Bulma for ever!!: One big mystery. This wonderful artist has not updated her site since 1999, and as evidenced by her still functional Guestbook, her fans are wondering if she has died. Saddening. But her art is still around, showing how true talent can turn DBZ into something of beauty. Her CG work is wonderful.
