He walks along the starry night. He beams his bright celestial light. It sets my lonely heart aflame. At just the mention of his name. A whirlpool of forbidden thought. Love's strong current has me caught. I smash upon the rocks of doubt. Defenseless, as I am tossed about. I am trapped within a sea of fears. Overcome by violent waves of tears. My heart is broken by the tide. And soon the longing begins to subside. I am emptied into a pool of calm. The water sweeps away my qualm. A glimmer of hope, I'm able to see. I no longer feel lost at sea. Finally I reach the shore. I see things differently than before. And on the bank in angel's light. His smile illuminates my night. |
