Better This Way

I don't know how to tell you this,
but I think our relationship is through.
It seems I just woke up today,
and fell out of love with you.

I realized that I don't love you anymore,
I wish I could change the way I feel.
I really hoped our love would last.
I thought what we had was real.

This is hard for me to do.
I never wanted things to end.
I want you to know that I still care,
if you want me as a friend.

I wish there was something more,
something else that I could say.
But in the end I think you'll agree.
It is just better this way.
