What should be the core message of religion?

Everyone is equal in front of God.

Accepting the above seems like ultimate solution to most of interfaith problems and religious conflicts around the world. Needless to say, it may be the easiest and best way to achieve peace and harmony everywhere and keep all kinds of divisive and sectarian influences in check. In addition, it will also improve things in terms of gender equality and racial equality etc. and not just be limited to achieving the religious harmony among people.

In any case, the premise “Everyone is equal in front of God” is not farfetched religiously and theologically.

Most of the religions talk about God being the parent (Father or Mother) and they even have religious hymns and verses to that effect in their scriptures etc. Moreover, people in many religious faiths sing songs, recite prayers and offer worship to God, the father (or mother), in their everyday life as well as on special occasions including when they are faced with difficulties. Thus, considering that God is looked at as the father (parent) of everyone, it is easy to see and assume that God (the ideal parent) would behold all his children (people) equally, no matter what their individual faiths and religious adherences.
