In 1961, a group of women adopted the idea of a national sorority with the common aims of nondiscrimination, integrity, intellectual and cultural development, and unity without the loss of individuality. These beliefs of Lambda Delta Phi's founders are carried on as each new member is encouraged to actively contribute to Lambda Delta Phi as a whole, while continually seeking individual knowledge, maturity, and understanding.

Sorority life at Lambda Delta Phi is very exciting and rewarding. All-campus activities such as Homecoming, and special functions like date parties and fraternity exchanges, are always a good time full of warm moments. LDPhi women also participate in various competitive and recreation sports events and contests sponsored by most colleges and universities.

The many social activitiesLDPhi sisters are invited to participate in are a major factor in building the togetherness that makes us sisters. All in all, Lambda Delta Phi sisters are bright, energetic, involved young women who excel in scholastic, philanthropic, and social activities which makes the college years "the best years of your life."
