Scholarships are one way
the women of Lambda Delta Phi are recognized for scholastic and leadership
achievements. The Lambda Delta Phi National Council awards one or more academic
scholarships per chapter per year. The criteria for recognition include past
academic performance and promise of future academic success. Scholarship recipients
must also be active college students who have membership and/or leadership
roles in campus organizations and activities. Two scholarships are given
to perspectives in the fall semester of every year.
One of the major purposes
of Lambda Delta Phi Sorority is to create a physical and social environment
conducive to scholarly achievement. A chapter house usually has a room dedicated
to reading and studying. Upper-class sisters are always willing to advise
or assist underclassmen who need help. An old test file and a library of old
texts and supplementary materials is frequently available.
Also, the social, professional, and philanthropic activities of the chapter
are scheduled so as to enhance the sisters' opportunities for serious study
at crucial times.

Pledges and active sisters
alike must maintain at least a 2.5 grade point average. However,
3.0 (B average) or better GPA, in concert with active participation in LDPhi
and collegiate organizations and activities, is sought after by most sisters.
Recognition is given to those who achieve a 3.0 or improve their grades dramatically.
