Essentially, the core of my philosophy is gonna be ... to see society in two ways. First, that many pple in this society are very materialistic. Materialism can give us careers, money, house, cars, and all the comforts you need, however, it cannot give you anything lasting or truly fulfilling. Over focus on this aspect can overshadow an even larger force and more important as far as personal happiness and purpose concerns. This second factor is spirituality. Now, spirituality can have many meanings and it does. However, to me, I'll define it as true happiness, the meaning and purpose to life, and connection to Nature and the universal. These three (or more factors) are connected and basically the same. Happiness means that you are quite satisfied with the way things are for better or for worse. It is not focusing so much on external circumstances but a state of mind one cultivateds. The meaning or purpose to life to me is the feeling and knowledge that you are expressing deep down inside what your soul really says and wants. When you do this you are able to help pple (and help yourself). If your soul really yearns to be a blacksmith, then your every expression and passion will be driven into the job and you will feel a deep connection with the universal. You link with the universal when you're totally focused on what you're doing, so that your sense of "self" or self-consciousness is diminished and you'll have a heightened sense of awareness, peace, and calmness. The universal is everything and you'll feel connected with it once you shake off the feeling of "you" or "yourself" to see everything is similar and connected. When you realize yourself you will learn to appreciate Nature because of it's beauty and simplicity and healing energy. This can also work the other way around. Those who do not appreciate Nature have been conditioned to only enjoy the environment and enterntainment that is only man made. They have lost touch with a part of themselves which they can always get back. Without being in touch with Nature a person loses touch with a part of themselves that has a possibility to probing into their innocent and natural state. Try it! :) 1
