My 98-99 poems..check'em out! :)

It is tempting
To see things your way
But you must stray from this
To see things as they are.

The past was just a day ago
The future tomorrow,
But we must not let the chains of our past
Keep us from pursuing our future.
For we are capable of wonderful things,
Even mor ewonderful when we can break from our past,
Into the vast infinite,
Any path we choose.
Yeah.

It is the lesser man who worries over his looks. (Find yourself)

You'll learn what you really need.
~My friend Rick

First,
Find out what you want,
Then,
Do it!

The young teenage boy,
Tired,
Lonely,
Cycnical,
Unable to get a date,
Lacking in praise and encouragement
In his person,
Struggling for confidence,
Lacking faith in himself,
Pressured to act like someone else,
Self-doubting,
Scared,
Of the present
Of the future,
Don't be scared,
You're fine
The way you are,
Everybody is going through this,
And has for years,
I've gone through it,
Be proud of who you are,
Be happy for what you got,
These tough times will pass,
Seek confidence in yoruself
And in you abilities,
Search for strength inside,
Not without
Like some others,
And you'll be true
And will grow fine!

Don't go for the quick fix! Go for something everlasting & every-striving.

"God gave us two eyes, two ears, & one mouth"
~?? :)

"If you want to know what God thinks about money looks to who he gives it to."
~Some Irish saying from my friend Dave :)

Do not dwell on the negative.

My silent,
Personal
Mental poems
That I write in my head.
Twice as beautful,
Twice as eloquent,
With twice as much emotion,
And feeling,
To bespeckle any observer or outsider,
For my lyrics contain the true heart,
The true soul,
The true meat & potatoes to my being,
And lyrics are lovely,
Expressive,
Yeah.

The most virtuous are capable of achieving the greatest vice.

I pour my heart & soul
So people can read
And get enlightened and learn
And improve
And make changes
Positive changes in their lives
And others
And that would be good.

So what if I didn't read a dozen
Or a hundred books?!
Do I not still have the right to
write poetry and express myself?!
I think so!!!
Yeah.

Happiness is when you stop trying to be happy and are happy.

Life, living needs to be constantly improved and upgraded, or else it becomes stagnant and detoriates.

The worth in human intellect & ability
Is that humans can adapt and change,
Even to what they're innately programmed or
trained or conditioned to do,
So they can overcome greed, lust, self-centeredness,
And other aspects of "human nature",
Humans have the ability to change & adapt,
So they needn't sit back and blame human nature
for their faults and problems,
Humans are amazing in that they can actually
alter their "human nature" or their natual urges,
Sure they have "verbal skills" and a "superior intellect"
to analyze things,
But if they do not use their natural abilityies for the
imporovement of themselves and their kind,
They will fall to natural urges and "human nature",
And will become even worse
creatures than they would be if they were in
their natural state (w/ Nature & the outdoors)
For they would be greedy, corrupted, and indulgent,
Rather than "superior" in their intellect and their
ability to acquire information,
Human beings can learn a lot from animals
For animals live in harmony with Nature,
They do no obstruct nor harm Nature,
They are one w/ Nature and the Universal Force,
Human beings should be more humble
And learn and improve more,
They have a lot to work on,
Rather than blaming/scapegoating others,
Humans must change themselves and help those
around them,
For the common good.

All human beings havbe worth; no (one) human being is better than another.

It's funny how things change,
Life,
*sigh*
See,
Life doesn't change/progress linearly,
It constantly twists and turns,
And throws you off no matter how
much and in what way you expect it,
Life is mulit-dimensional, strange, elusive,
and ever-changing, and ever-different,
Life shifts, changes,
Life is not stable,
But constantly moving.
