Easy trail, taking 1.5 to 2 hours depending on where you start from.
Trail with a lot of scenery and easy to tackle with very little ups and downs. You go through abandoned districts and old villages. This trail offers panoramic views on the coast and inland. The sanctuary is above the town of Rapallo surrounded by well-tended woods. The observation point is one of the most famous spot and on clear days you can see Corsica. Near the sanctuary there is the restaurant of the Pilgrim and a small bar. You can get to Rapallo by cable car and take public transport to get to Chiavari and Leivi.

The trail, advancing along the ridge of the hills in the district of Leivi, starting from Curlo and passing through San Bartolomeo, San Ruffino, Bocco di Leivi, San Lorenzo, arriving at the borders of Maxena. It is called the 5 Towers because as you progress along the trail - and this is only found in the territory of Leivi - you will encounter a tower and 4 bell-towers. The trail is marked with the symbol: # and with wooden plaques with the words "The 5 Towers" written on them.
