VEGETABLEPULAV:
Basmati rice=2cup
Onion(thinly sliced)=1cup
Green chillies=2
Cloves=4
Cinnamonstick=1
Ginger=1 inch
Garlic=7
Anise seeds=1/2tsp
Redchilli powder=1tsp
Turmeric powder=1/2tsp
Mint leaves=1/4cup
Carrot(thinly sliced)=1/4cup
Beans(thinly sliced)=1/4cup
Green peas=1/4cup
Oil=4tsp
Ghee or dalda=2tsp
Salt to taste
Grind the ginger, garlic and anise seeds into a smooth paste.
In a heated pressure cooker add oil and vanaspati and add cinnamon and cloves.
Add gingergarlic paste and mint leaves and fry for few seconds.
Add onion, green chillies and all the vegetables and fry for a minute or two.
Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, 3 cups of water, salt and rice and stir it well.
Close the cooker with the lid and turn the flame to medium high.
Once you get the pressure, put the weight on the cooker and turn the flame to
medium low and keep it for 8 minutes.
After 8 minutes remove the cooker from the stove and keep it aside.
After 10 minutes remove the lid and stir the rice well and serve
it with chips or raita.
