THATTAI:

Rice flour=2cup
Urad flour=2tsp
Roasted gram powder=1tsp
Sesame seeds=1/2tsp
Butter=25g
Asafoetida=a pinch
Channa dal=2tsp
Grated coconut=1tsp
chilly powder=1/4tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

Soak the channa dhal in water for an hour prior to preparation. Add urad flour, coconut, asafoetida, salt, butter, sesame seeds,roasted gram powder, channa dal to the rice flour and mix well. Then add water little by little and knead into a thick dough.Take a small ball of this dough and pat it on a plastic sheet or paper and make it thin. Deep fry these in oil until it turns golden brown in colour. cooked and crisp.
