RAVAPONGAL:
Rava=1cup
Moong dal=1/2cup
Pepper powder=1/2tsp
Cumin seeds=1tsp
Asafoetida=a pinch
Ginger=a small piece
Curry leaves=few
Salt=as per taste
Ghee=3tsp
Oil=2tsp
Roast Rava in 2 tsps of ghee.
Cook the moong dal until it becomes very soft.
Then add 2 cups of water, asafoetida and salt in the moong dal and allow it to boil.
Add rava to the boiling water and close the lid until its cooked.
In a pan add 3tsp of ghee and 2 tsp of oil and then add cashews and roat it. Then
add cumin seeds, pepper, ginger and curry leaves.Then add this to the pongal and mix well.
Serve it with coconut chutney.
