POLI:
All purpose flour=11/4cup
Jaggery=1cup
Grated coconut=1cup
Bengal gram=1cup
cardamom powder=1/4tsp
Oil=4tsp
kesari powder=a pinch
Ghee for frying
Boil the gram until half-cooked and drain the water.
Add jaggery, bengalgram, grated coconut, cardamom and grind it well.
Make it thick by
heating and stirring in low heat for a little while.
Make this into round balls.
Heat 3 tsp of oil and add it to the flour.
Then add a pinch of salt and kesaripowder to flour and knead it.
Leave this for half hour.
Take a small ball of the dough and using a rolling pin flatten them
into round chapathis.
Take a small lump of the filling & place it on the centre of the
flattened dough. Fold the dough over the filling once again
& roll out as thinly as possible.
Heat the tawa and fry both sides till done, adding 2 tsp of ghee.
