KARA KOZHAMBU(2):
Onion(finely chopped)=3/4cup
Tomato(finely chopped)=1cup
Garlic=4
Red chilli powder=11/4 tsp
Turmeric powder=1/2tsp
Curry leaves=few
Oil=2tsp
Salt to taste
Vadavam=1/4tsp
(If you don't have vadavam u can use mustardseeds)
Tamarind paste=1/4tsp
In a heated pan add 2 tsp of oil and add vadavam or mustard seeds.
When it splutters add onion, tomato, garlic and
curry leaves and stir it well.
Then add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
add 1 1/2cup of water and close it with a lid
and allow it to boil for 10 minutes and then add tamarind paste
and close the lid boil the kozhambu for few minutes and remove it
from the stove.
