KARA KOZHAMBU
Onion=2
Tomato=3
Garlic=4
Red chilli powder=2 tsp
Turmeric powder=1/2tsp
Curry leaves=few
Oil=3tsp
Coconut=1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Drumstick=1
Tamarind paste=1/2tsp
Grind the coconut into a fine paste.
Chopped the onions and tomatoes finely.Cut the drumstick into medium-sized pieces.
Smash the garlic flakes.
In a heated pan add oil and add vadavam or mustard seeds.
When it splutters add onion, tomato, garlic, brinjal and
curry leaves and stir it well.
Then add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
add 2cups of water and close it with a lid
and allow it to boil. When the brinjal is cooked add
the coconut paste.
Allow it to boil for few minutes and then add tamarind paste
and close the lid boil the kozhambu for few minutes and remove it
from the stove.
