KAIMURUKKU:
Rice flour=2cup
Urad flour=3tsp
Butter=35g
Cumin seeds=1tsp
Sesame seeds=1/4 tsp
Asafoetida= a pinch
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Mix the flours and add other ingredients and mix
well.Add water little by little and knead well into
a soft dough.Grease your hand with the oil
and over a sheet of paper twist the dough
between the forefinger and the thumb into a
continuous spiral for about 2 or 3 rounds.Leave
it to dry.(It Should Not Dry Too Much).
Heat oil in a frying pan, and deep fry turning
occasionally. Remove the murukkus when the hissing sound
from the oil ceases. Drain off the excess oil using
paper towels.
