Dosai:
Rice=4cups
Urud dal=1cup
Fenugreek seeds=1tsp
A Handful Of CookedRice
Salt to taste
Wash rice uruddal and fenugreek seeds and soak them
in water for about 5-6 hours. Grind urud dal to fine
paste till slightly frothy. Add cooked rice to the rawrice
and grind into a smooth paste with the required amount
of water. Add salt and mix both the pastes by hand.
Cover and keep aside for at least 10 hours to
ferment. Then mix the batter thoroughly. Heat the tawa
and take a laddle full of batter and spread on a tawa to
a thin layer quickly. Then add a spoon of oil.
As it starts to turn golden brown in color, use a spatula
to remove the dosai from the tawa. Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
