AAPPAM:

Rice=2cup
Urud dal=2tsp
Fenugreek seeds=1/4 tsp
Salt= to taste
Coconut=1
Cardamom powder=1/2tsp
Sugar=to taste

Wash and soak the rice, urud dal, fenugreek seeds for 5 hours. Grind all the ingredients into a fine paste and add salt and ferment for 10 hours in a warm place. Heat the pan place a laddle of flour inside the tawa. Shake the pan in a circular motion so that the flour spreads and expands along the edges.Cook covered for a few minutes until the aappam becoms soft. {{You need not cook on the other side.}} To prepare the Coconut milk, grind the coconut in the blender. Add water and grind till soft. Then strained the coconutmilk through the strainer. Add cardamom powder and sugar to this milk and serve it with aappam.
