Sally Bowles: British. Ages 20-30, though 19 can work as well. Alto range. Marginal singer. Has a lot of dancing. Female.
Emcee: German. Ages 25-40. Can be altered depending on actor. Tenor or baritone range. Has a lot of dancing. Traditionally male, but girls can usually audition for the role. For girls, it's a mezzo, alto, or soprano range.
Cliff: American. Ages 25-45. Baritone or tenor range. Some singing, but not much. No dancing. Male.
Fraulein Schneider: German. Ages 40-60. Mezzo or alto range. Some dancing, a lot of singing. Female.
Herr Schultz: German. Ages 45-65. Baritone or tenor. The character is Jewish, but the actor doesn't have to be. Some dancing, moderate singing. Male.
Fraulein Kost: German. Ages 20-35. Mezzo or alto range. Can also be one of the Kit Kat Girls. Some singing, not much dancing unless she's a Kit Kat Girl. Female.
Herr Ludwig: German. Ages 30-40. Baritone or tenor range. Sings once, no dancing. Male.
Kit Kat Girls: Ages 19-30. Mezzo, alto, or soprano range. It can vary depending on the girl. Physically attractive. A lot of dancing and singing, but they mostly disappear in Act 2. Females, though men in drag can work too. :)
Kit Kat Boys: Ages 20-30. Baritone or tenor range. Good looking. Some singing, some dancing. Like the Kit Kat Girls, they mostly disappear in Act 2. Male, though women in drag can work too. :)
Max: German.Ages 35-45. No singing, no dancing. Fires Sally from the Kit Kat Klub. A total sleazebag. Male.
Customs Official: German. Ages 20-60. The most variable part in the entire play. No singing, no dancing, speaks German. Appears at the beginning and end of the musical. A little eerie. Male or female.
