Lakewood-  By Talno Moonwhisp
Lakewood is a wonderful place,
With trees and shrubs and a lot of clear space,
Withi it's shimmering lake so beautifully clear,
A place for no worries or problems or fear.

Oh Lakewood, oh Lakewood with your abbey so bright,
so bright it might even light up the night,
Moles n' hares 'n all beasts come here,
To pick up the pace, and start their career.

Lakewood is a wonderful place,
With trees and shrubs and a lot of clear space,
Withi it's shimmering lake so beautifully clear,
A place for no worries or problems or fear.

With simmering stews and wonderful soup,
The thing you need to pick up that droop,
With wonderful, wonderful clouds in the sky,
Twill be impossible to say goodbye!

Lakewood is a wonderful place,
With trees and shrubs and a lot of clear space,
Withi it's shimmering lake so beautifully clear,
A place for no worries or problems or fear.

With lots of new freinds, and companions true,
You'll make a new family, or a new crew,
You will be so happy for the rest of yer' days,
Twill always be clear and never be haze,

Lakewood is a wonderful place,
With trees and shrubs and a lot of clear space,
Withi it's shimmering lake so beautifully clear,
A place for no worries or problems or fear.

Back to the Shanty Hall
Noko- By Talno Moonwhisp
Niel was pushed into the cell none to softly. He commited a crime (if you insist on calling it that). A raspberry pie felon it was. It was absurd! He got a one year sentence
The soldiers took everything seriously. If you even dropped a penny on the ground, they would call it littering.
Niel looked at his surroundings. A stone cell with one window and hay covering the floor. Also there was what appeared to be a big lump in the corner. On closer observation, it was a man!
Suddenly he awoke."ah, what? Who said that?" He said in a raspy cracked voice."Ah, young man, hello" he said calmly. The old man shifted in his seat upon the hay and smiled.
It was such an odd place to smile. RIght in a jail cell as happy as can be." Why are you so happy?" Niel asked as he raised one eyebrow." I know a way out of here" he replied." I've been waiting for this day when another prisoner came - I prefer to be called a victim of the soldiers unjustness..." - " Shut up!" said the old man in a quick voice." Oh, by the way, I'm Noko" he said as if nothing had happened.
After a few silent moments, the old man asked "can you climb?" Niel nodded."Up there?" Noko said pointing to the tall high roof above them." Were else?" Niel retorted.
Niel climbed up and found a loose brick." Pull it!" Yelled Noko. He did, and out uncoiled a lond rope." This used to be a home. The rope was there in case of fires". Niel jumped down with the rope and looked through the window. It was very high up. But Noko tossed the rope down. They were in luck, it was long enough to escape. It was night so nobody saw them. They climbed down and rushed into a dark alley.
Their escape seemed too simple. But they wondered why?

Distant Love- By Swiftstream Brooktail
I know she's there,
I've seen her in dreams,
But the distance seems,
To me so unfair.

Why must I pine,
Can I not move on,
Yet my heart is drawn,
I wish she were mine.

I think of she,
When I feel deppressed,
Distance does it's best,
To incomplete me.
Remembering- By Talno Moonwhisp
When all the memories unfold,
what I was told,
they press in my mind,
of what I might find,
before me.

Burned fresh in my mind,
the memories,
always to tease,
as I suddenly realize,
I don't want to leave them.

The Tale of Halek Grayplume- By Talno Moonwhisp
There was once a warrior named Halek Grayplume. He was famouse across the land for his spectacular swordplay. His eyes were dark blue and gentle but yet a fiery look to them. A mark of a warrior. He lived on the edge of Puckernut Wood, a small wood by the Deepwater river. The forest was a mysterious place, wreathed with mysteries and stories long forgotten in the mists of time. Yet some stories were untarnished by the dust of time, and as clear as the now. Like the story of the hunters gold. Long ago there was a hunter. One day he stumbled upon a secret chamber beneath the ground. It was long abandon but filled with gold and jewels. The hunter told his freinds and family about the chamber. The next day he visited the chamber and he was never to be seen again. Nobody else had even seen the chamber.
Halek sat at the fire places edge thinking, deep in thought. His camp was not but a fireplace and a lean-to with a crude bed under it. Halek was a wanderer. He could never stay in one spot for a long period of time. If he did, he would become restless and his wandering spirit would rouse him. Suddenly a large hawk screeched from above swooping down perilously fast. It's name was Oroleed the hawk. Oroleed clutched on to the leather strap on Halek's shoulder especially made for him. He ruffled his feathers and gave Halek a gentle peck on the ear to wake him from his trance. Halek glanced up and smiled at Oroleed and started to stoke the birds soft feathers." We're leaving tomorrow to find the secret chamber. How that sound?" Halek asked Oroleed. Oroleed gave a soft chirp in agreement. Then the hawk took off and soared up through the canopy dissappearing into the dark of night.
Halek Grayplume had a rude awakening the next morning. He was in his lean-to with Oroleed on his forehead pecking madly at Halek. Halek brushed him away and went out of the lean-to. Oroleed perched on Halek's arm and stared into his eyes with a worried look. Suddenly Oroleed took off and started screeching madly.
A arrow thudded into a tree a hairs breadth away from Halek. As quick as light Halek had his sword drawn and was in a battle stance. Several goblins jumped out of the foliage in front of him making loud screeches and yells as they both fired another arrow from their bows.
They were the ugliest creatures Halek ever saw. Their skin was green, but almost impossible to tell by all the tatoos on their bodies. The goblins faces were covered in peircings. Nose rings, earings, liprings everything. Halek swiftly sliced the arrow in half before it came to him. Halek made a mad dash toward the goblins yelling his family warcry "GRAYPLUME!" One of the goblins gave a shreik as a swing from Halek Grayplumes mighty sword came crashing over his head. The other goblin dropped his bow and started to run for it, but he was stopped dead in his tracks. Litterally dead in his tracks. He had died before he hit the ground. Halek quickly unsheathed a deadly curved knife and hurled it at the goblin.
Halek saw Oroleed pick up something from the dead goblins bag. Oroleed flew over and dropped a small peice of parchment in Halek's hand. The writing was small and neat and looked like this;
To the north thy shall find the chamber,
hidden along with root and stone,
to open the door ye must find,
what falls but leaves no mark,
and flies but yet stays close to the ground.
Halek immediatly started to sprint nothwards with Oroleed close behind him. Every once and then Halek would stop and look at the parchment to see if he missed anything.
After hours of non-stop running. Something caught Haleks eye. It was a large round stone at the base of a oak tree. It fit in perfectly with the roots. The stone was to round to be natural. He approached it and tugged on it trying to open it. But there was nothing. Halek noticed something on the door. It was a small imprint of a oak leaf." Thats it! The key is an oak leaf!" Exclaimed Halek. From below Halek chopped off a branch of the tree and selected a small leaf. He then placed it on the imprint on the door. The door lit up and shown brightly glowing eerily. The stone then was able to move.
Halek pushed the door aside and crawled down a very small dirt hole. Someparts he thought he couldn't squeeze through, but he managed. Finally he slid into a dark circular room. The floor was covered with glittering gold, jewls, rubees, jewlery, and goblet with jewls encrusted in them. Then he saw a dragon on the other side of the room. It had brilliant red scales and amazing yet awful spike on it's back. It was asleep though. Halek dared not make to much noise or he would wake the dragon. He picked up a goblet and started climbling up the hole when suddenly a couple coins clattered on to the pile of other coins. Halek franticly scurried up the hole with the goblet to prove he had been in the chamber. A column of fire burst through the open hole followed by a high pitched scream from the dragon. Halek ran away with Oroleed and never told anyone about the dragon or it's lair. Why waste a amazing creature like that? After all that is it's treasure!
