May 25, 1890 Joranal entry one: Today I write you write in you for the first time but mama says that a journal is to record things in not to blab on about silly things so I will tell you what has hapened to day: It's been raining cold hard rain ever since morning and still hasen't stoped. Papa gave me my journal this morning but I haven't had time for It since now. I wish our group of Squirrels had stayed where we were in Mossflower Woods other than coming here. But Lady Amber is still hopeful that we'll reach Lakewood Abbey soon but we have been wandering for almost two years and I've long lost hope. But we couldn't stay in Mossflower. Not because of the Draught and then the Vermin would come. I'm not really sure why we didn't stay at Redwall. Mama nows but she won't tell me. I have to go now Mama's calling but I'll write tomarrow. -Freebreeze Treewhifler *You stop reading for a moment to take in the facts* This must be the jornal of a little squirrelmaid. They had come from Mossflower Woods to seek a new home at Lakewood Abbey. -Posted by Somgtail

May 27, 1890 Jornal entry two Hia I'm back. I would have writen yesterday only Lady Amber kept us on the move and I didn't have time to write. But it was worth it. We can now see Lakewood abbey. It's standing on a large rock in the middle of a lake. Papa says that the rock is called an iland but that it's spelled island. That's a pretty funny way to spell something. Oh, jornal, I'm sorry if my writing is suddenly funny looking but Lady Amber's making us walk. But It's a slow pace so I can still write. Lady Amber's saying we've got about two miles left. She says that the trip was a hundred miles long and we've got two left meaning that we've covered nintey-eight miles. Thats alot of miles. We've got about a mile and a half left now. Where stopping now for the night as dusk is aproaching rapidly. Where sure to get there in the morning. Well goodbye. I'm growing to like you and that's a nice feeling. -Freebreeze Treewifler *You stop for a moement to think about that entry* Not much information. And if there going to Lakewood abbey then how was this setlement made? Oh well. -Posted by Somgtail

May 28, 1890 Jornal entry three We only stayed at camp for a little while last night. Early this morning we were all awoken by chilling cold rain. But, in despreate hope, Lady Amber had us keep going. We made it to the side of the waters near the Abbey but we dared not cross yet... not until the rain stopped. Finally at around mid day the rain stopped.. We had a tough journey across the waters but it was thrilling. We finally made it to Lakewood Abbey at Nightfall. We made it their wet, cold, and happy! -Freebreeze Treewifler *You stop for a moement to think about that entry* Well this could be talking about the Floods that happened in the year 1890. But its weird how there is drought in Mossflower but there are floods near Lakewood. -Posted by Silven
